Outstanding
Dr Malanuk is highly skilled, personable and an excellent communicator. He has treated me with the utmost care and respect. He performed my recent heart catherization and made me feel comfortable and well informed. He had emergencies plus a very busy schedule and still provided me with the greatest care. Thank you. Highly disappointed
I found Dr. Malanuk to be rude, belittling and condescending. I went seeking guidance and compassion from a medical professional and left the office bewildered and feeling worse than when I had arrived. I was not given adequate time to explain my symptoms and the little I did get to share was brushed off. I actually didn't even get a chance to thoroughly explain why I was there. What a disappointment from a doctor with such credentials. Everything that glitters isn't gold. I was made to feel he didn't want me as a patient and I don't understand why I was treated in this manner.

I found Dr Malanuk to be very thorough and knowledgeable . He explained tests and results and has a friendly manner and is very personable. I was at his office for a whole day of testing and found the staff friendly and skilled. He was highly recommended to me by several nurses at the hospital where he practices. They know who’s good and who isn’t.

My husband has terminal brain disease. He was patient of Dr Umbach since 1996. Had no problem since 2003 so was considered new patient. Still no problems but because a letter was needed for VA claim for CAD and agent orange, I had to make an appointment, load him in a handicapped van, drive to Columbia as this was the only way we could get letter. I explained the need for urgency but had to take an appointment well over 4 weeks. Kept appointment. 1mo & 3 calls later still no letter.

Dr. Malanuk has excellent bed side manner and seems to be very competent. He takes time to know his patients and genuinely cares. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the practice in which he works. Appointments get changed somewhat regularly and I had a bad experience with one of the nurse practionners.

Dr. Malanuk told us that unless my daughter has a STROKE, HEART ATTACK & her already low blood test levels go LOWER THAN LOW, he can't help her. She is 42 years old & rather not have an emergency and get preventative medicine to get well before an emergency. Trusting us expect a Doctor to help make us well & to prevent an emergency. Why wait for a young woman to have a stoke or heart attack? Her blood test levels are LOW. We cannot recommend him. He does not care! Disorganized office.

Took time to explain details and prognosis of care both before and after procedure, not only to me but also to family members. Explained differences in available medications. Provided adequate response to ALL questions. A bonus to his care is a very proficient and friendly office staff.
