I have been seeing Dr. Mauthe for over one year and I think that he is one of the most caring doctors that I have ever seen. He really enjoys being a physiatrist and it shows. He has a great sense of humor, and will spend that extra 15 minutes with you because "you" need it. He helps you make a treatment plan that you both will follow through and will give you a nudge in the direction when needed. Any person would be lucky to have him as their doctor.

I saw Dr mauthe after a rear end car accident left me injuries to my spine. I found him to be a thorough Dr. He took the time to understand my situation, reviewed my MRI with me and discussed my options. I felt like he guenuinly cared about what I had to say and took the time to answer all my questions. His caring and honestly is a rare find in a doctor. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. refused to believe me as per pain,or look for any cause.Insurance Dr first and only.Provided pain rather than relief or research.Gave legal advice would have destroyed my life had I listened, and settled W/C case.

After an accident requiring multiple surgeries, the pain had become chronic. I was sent to several pain management physicians. All had the same treatment plan; increase meds to control pain and then wean. Finally I was referred to Dr Mauthe who established a successful treatment plan allowing me to return to work. Under Dr Mauthe’s care I have been working for over ten years and am looking forward to working until retirement age.

Dr Mauthe was very thorough in his exam. He listens, he pays attention, he asks questions and he asks you questions. He is not half listening and half typing on the computer, like most doctors today. I wish all my doctors could learn from him.
