The Best
Probably the best pulmonologist I’ve seen. I was diagnosed with tracheal stenosis after getting very ill with covid. As an interventional pulmonologist, he understood exactly how to treat my condition, as opposed to other pulmonologists who had no clue. He explained different treatment options and made his recommendations, which were spot on. I’m so relieved to have found him

Incredible Physician
Dr. Maximos always goes above and beyond to explain in detail his rationale when starting new medications or ordering a test. He is very approachable and always responds immediately to all of my concerns. Since I’ve started seeing him, my breathing has significantly improved.

Excellent
Dr. Maximos is the best. Recommend to anyone who needs a pulmonologist. Dr. Maximos provided care for my Father while he was in the ICU. My father was transferred from another hospital in order for Dr. Maximos to perform an emergency procedure to open up his lung airways. My father was off the ventilator and life support after the procedure. We are so grateful for his care.

Caring, Compassionate
Took the time to actually listen to my husband. The appointment never felt rushed. He explained the procedure he planned on doing in detail and answered all our questions. On the day of the procedure he went over the expectations. He called personally to give us the results. By far the best pulmonologist my husband has ever seen.

Dr. Maximos was the only pulmonologist who was able to diagnose my fathers lung cancer. We went to to a few pulmonologists who either wanted to wait to do a biopsy or said it was nothing to worry about. Because of him, my father was able to get hi surgery and he’s now cancer free. We are forever indebted to Dr. Maximos.

Dr. Maximos told me to return in 2 weeks and continue with oral antibiotics for a lung abscess that had grown larger and had not responded to a 5 day stay in the hospital with IV antibiotics. I contacted his office 2 days later because my condition was worse. I never got a reply I was told that he had gone out of town for a conference. No other doctor was on call. I went to an emergency room ,other than UT Hospital, where I spent 8 days in the hospital. I received excellent care and I am on the mend.
