I was charged an additional $117 on top of office visit charges and co-pays simply to review blood sugar logs that were derived from wearing a CGM.

Terrible phone etiquette. The young ladies that answer the phone are rude. They put you on hold for long periods of time and never return or check on you to ask if you can continue to hold. They tell you the doctor is not taking new patients although all online info indicates differently. If you are not a patient of Dr. Melfi do not call they will not schedule an appointment. It's safe to say he's earned his money and he's preparing to retire. When asked about other doctors in the group they have NO clue as to what they should tell you - no direction from the office staff. I was never treated by the doctor, and i'm glad if this is the experience I would have had.

I wanted to schedule an appointment with Dr. Melfi because my endocrinologist, Dr. Chon is no longer with the group. The website said he was taking new patients, but when I called the schedule to appointment, the scheduler stated he wasn't taking new patients. I told her the website had said he was. She got nasty with me and said he was not. I had read the bios of the other doctors and didn't want to schedule with any of them, so I will taking my business elsewhere.

An excellent doctor for Diabetes treatment. Patiently listens to understand your conditions and does thorough diagnosis with necessary tests. Takes ample time with you - doesn't rush like many others do. Not easy to get his appointment, because he likes to spend sufficient time with his patients. But very prompt with responses on follow-ups thru mychart messages or phone calls.

You can't get an appointment until your existing doctor faxes over the info. I've been calling for 2 weeks now. My doctor says they faxed. Confirmed fax #, confirmed fax time, etc. I call back, they have nothing. It is impossible to make an appointment. This is ridiculous.

I've been seeing a litany of doctors for the past forty some odd years. Dr. Melfi is by far THE best endocrinologist I've dealt with. Everyone in the office is professional. Dr. Melfi makes it more personalized where I do not feel like a number in a busy schedule. Above all, he is on top of the technology. I travel forty five minutes for an appointment. I would travel hours if I had to. 10 stars!
