Dr. Robert Mickel, MD

I came to him for severe dizziness, nausea, and fluid coming out of my nose after what appeared to have been an injury to my neck. (Note: the hospital I had gone to earlier that week had suggested that I see an ENT; however, after seeing a neurologist, I believe both the hospital and Dr. Mickel should have known that I was clearly had symptoms of a brain injury.) In my first visit, he suggested that I had meniere's. I called back with severe headaches and pain throughout my sinuses and eyes, where it felt like they would explode. I had popping noises in my head. He told me it sounded like I had a simple cold that would resolve on its own!!! Later, my neurologist said these are all symptoms of a CSF leak/head injury. My proper care was delayed due partially to Dr. Mickel's ineptitude. If he is in fact a skilled doctor, then perhaps it was simply that he didn't believe a woman's pain like mine was as severe as I claimed.
