Met Dr. Minkes unexpectedly in the ER when my 6 yr old daughter had acute pancreatitis. I absolutely LOVE how he talked directly to her and as a nurse myself felt very confident she was going to be taken care with expertise and tender care! Can not thank him enough! #GirlsRule #8020Rule

He has operated on my son twice now. The 1st time it was emergent, and the second time it was a scheduled thing. Both times his bed side manner was amazing. He made both of us feel at eaze. Dr. Minkes goes above and beyond for his patients. He is an amazing Surgeon. I highly recommend him!!

2years after my children (both had hernia surgery 5weeks apart) saw Dr Minkes, they still talk about him til this day and every time we drive past Children's, they ask about him and want to see him again. He's professional, very knowledgable and just has this air of confidence, compassion and grace around him. Sad to hear he's leaving DFW for another state.

Really wonderful with our 8 year old daughter who came in for day surgery. I can see why he specializes in pediatrics. Moved his schedule around so he could accommodate our little girl. She was given a bear by the hospital staff and she named him Bob, the bear.
