This guy needs to retire
He has absolutely no bedside manner, he is judgemental, looks at you like you are less than human.

Don’t see this doctor
After reading all these reviews, I feel so much better. There is a reason he has so many negative reviews. This is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. I never do reviews but to keep people from seeing this terrible doctor, I decided to leave a review. He actually owns Psych Dimensions which is really scary to be honest. Also, the office manager is rude as well and offered no help. Please do yourself a favor and seek treatment elsewhere.

Avoid like the plague!
Admitted during suicidal ideation, and the whole experience was frustrating, unhelpful, and scarring. Dr. Moore is a rude, petulant man with a God complex. I was in the psych ward for about a week and maybe saw him for a total of 30 minutes tops. He ignored all my symptoms and tried to pressure me into going on antidepressants, even though I insisted I was not depressed. Funny enough, he did the exact same thing to a patient who was there for anger issues! By the end I was fed up and wanted to leave, and they threatened to file a court injunction to keep me there. That whole ward is full of patients with major personality issues that need psychotherapy, and all they want to do is slap them with a Paxil prescription. Please look for help elsewhere! You deserve someone who will actually listen to your symptoms and get you the proper diagnosis and treatment. Listen to the other reviews--everybody hates this guy for a reason. Stay far far away from the Methodist fourth floor.

I went to this hospital for psychiatry treatement. I was depressed (25F). We spoke no more than 2-4 minutes each day while I was in in-patient care. I stayed for 9 days total. This man needs Jesus. How he can do this job day after day, knowing that he is purposely ignoring his patients and making them feel worse is beyond me. I talked to him about actual medical needs that had arrived during my stay and he ignore my demands. (Urinary tract infection, and feet were completely exhausted from not wearing shoes while walking around in this hospital for 9 days). Also why are shoes not given to their Behavioral Health Patients?? Other hospitals and treatment facilities give their patients SHOES without laces because it is painful to walk around on cold tile, especially after a shower in a hospital where they keep it 40 degrees day and night. Where is the compassion? This is healthcare?

Honestly, This guy is a nightmare. I was in this center due to terrible insomnia & the nurses told me that it wasnt my lucky day. The guy kept me in there for days & wouldnt let me leave unless it was AMA. He talk to me for no longer than one minute twice. He is terrible. Why Methodist keeps him, I have no clue especially with all of their customers screaming that he is worthless in his "treatments." This is the most honest review I can give. If he is assigned to your loved one; have them change to another doctor immediately. The reviews are not coincidence.

Following a depressive episode, I (24M) was admitted to Methodist Richardson. Dr. Moore was by far the most cruel psychiatrist I have ever met. Every conversation I had with him left me sobbing hysterically, even when I began the day in a great mood. From the 3rd day on of my week-long stay, he told me daily that I would be discharged "today or tomorrow". He accused me everyday of lying about my plans following my discharge, saying "you're trying to be slick and just telling me what I want to hear so you can go home". His bedside manner was abhorant, constantly talking down to and berating me for my past alcohol consumption. He exerted no effort whatsoever to speak with compassion or humanity, only harsh judgement. Never has a doctor hurt me so deeply, bringing me to tears multiple times while speaking with him. He has clearly lost his passion, and has no business practicing anymore. He is a disgrace to medicine and should have his license revoked. Stay away from this awful man!

My dad's (I have power of attorney) doctor at Methodist Richardson... He was horribly rude and unprofessional. My dad has Medicare A only and Dr. Moore complained to me that he wasn't "getting paid" and wanted to discharge him within a few days of my dad's psychotic break. When I asked him if the hospital if they have a patient advocate, he accused me of "threatening him". That sounded a little paranoid for a psychiatrist, but got me wondering how many people have complained about him in the past...he sure seemed afraid I was going to contact a patient advocate on my father's behalf. In the end, I did, when he tried to discharge my dad a second time before he was ready. When he was finally discharged my dad was still not at baseline, but at a good enough place to get out and get better care somewhere else.
