While having a total eye exam , I shared with Dr. Peabody that I recently spent time in the hospital. After explaining why I was, in the hospital further test where ordered.

Poor Care -
He refused to examine my eye himself. He said his medical assistant (who's not an eye doctor) already look at it. Of course his medical assistant misdiagnosed my eye. I had to spend additional money to to see a different Ophthalmologist for help that wants a biopsy if it doesn't improve.

Unsatisfactory Cataract Surgery
I had a successful cataract surgery on one eye in the past by another doctor. Immediately after that surgery, I began to have a remarkable clearer vision on that eye. When Dr. Peabody operated on my other eye, the result was not remarkable. I can still see yellow haze on my eye after 4 months. Dr. Peabody explained that it was because of something at the back of the eye. If the yellow haze was present on both my eyes before any cataract surgery, why was my first cataract surgery (not performed by him) able to correct the yellow haze but not my 2nd surgery performed by him? The assistant who performs the initial eye test was so rude and condescending. In fairness, there is another assistant who does the eye field tests and she is very professional and approachable. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion but the insurance provider took a long time to give me a referral and the year was already ending. So I decided to switch to another insurance provider.

Had my first visit with Dr. Peabody for a complete eye exam after a potential glaucoma referral from my optometrist. The office was well organized, the entire staff were very friendly, helpful and competent. Dr. Peabody's manner was pleasant and helpful. His exam was very thorough including some extra testing to rule out glaucoma. He answered several questions I had. I felt Dr. Peabody and his staff did an excellent job.

I was delighted with the care, quality and outcome for cataract surgery and Inter-Ocular Lens. I had worn glasses for over 40 years, and Dr Peabody gave me three choices, correct 1 eye for distance 1 for close vision (or) correct both eyes for either Distance or Close vision. I elected to go with both eyes for distance as I don't do as much close in work as I used to. Short of being 16 again, I could not be happier with the outcome. Before surgery, my uncorrected vision was about 20/100. The day after surgery my vision was 20/20 at a normal computer distance and beyond. Within a week, my vision had improved to 20/15 (each eye) again from computer distance and beyond. without glasses, I can read street signs from blocks away, license plates, my night vision is far clearer and less halo's and stars with oncoming headlights. I do still need 'cheater readers' from the drugstore for the fine print on some labels but that is a small price to pay to not wear glasses daily. Thank you Dr

I took my mother to see Dr. Peabody today to have her eyes checked after recently falling and hitting her head and face injuring both eyes and her head. When we arrived we were told that we would have to reschedule because we were late. As I tried to explain my mothers situation the receptionist became hostile towards me and escalated things into a full blow shouting match. Two other employees had to hold her back to keep her from getting into my face. While I tried to work with another employee to get my mother seen, The receptionist became upset again when we were allowed to stay. I had to ask again that she be restrained and she had to held back again. After the visit was over Dr. Peabody yelled at me and told me my behavior was unacceptable while completely ignoring how badly is staff treated us. I have been a patient with Dr. Peabody for over 15 years and have never been treated so badly in his office. I don't plan on returning.

Dr. Peabody turns out to be a physician in the arrogant, authoritarian mode. He does not seem to recognize that consultations are for patients’ benefit, not his. Specifically, after having been his patient for years, yesterday I explained that sitting had become very uncomfortable for me, so I would like to stand whenever possible. He apparently did not think that this was sufficient reason to modify his procedures at all. When I pointed out that it really was not necessary for me to sit while he logged onto his computer or while his assistant dialed in my prescription, he became hostile and told me that I could not have things my way in his office. Obviously, I won’t be going back.

Incredibly disappointed with my cataract outcome. I advised Dr. Peabody I wanted the lense replace where I wouldn’t have to wear glasses again, I He said I’ve decided what to use. The only correction I had before was -1.25 for distance...minor. Now I have to have readers of 2.75. I can even see my iPhone without the glasses on. His suggestion was to wear contacts. Their optical people charge $100. For the fitting...even if you end up not wanting them. Very disappointed in outcome.
