Didn't feel heard and brushed off
Visited him because pediatrician said I should. It took 5 calls from pediatrician's office and 1 year before I took my child over. I explained the situation and he didn't find concern which is what I want to hear. Problem is, his logic made no sense. Trying to talk to him is like talking to a wall. He kept making the same points I said doesn't apply to us (think 'child was exercising too hard' when child was lounging around all day.) For instance, after I said 'oh my kid was bedridden all day and not exercising,' he would say 'so the intensive exercise was the cause for this' and he wanted wrap up the visit. I felt like he assumed we were controlling hypochondriac parents who want to find something wrong by his dismissive attidude in the office and finished the report with 'stop measuring heart rate at home.' Felt gaslighted, accused of being hypochondriacs, and disrespected. Just go to someone else. He sets a low bar to beat.
What went well
