Dr. Robert Schneider, MD

I have had low back problems for many years, had a micro discectomy done 11 years ago. 3 months ago, I developed severe pain in my left leg. It happened about one week prior to going on vacation in Europe. My surgeon prescribed an epidural injection, which was performed by Dr. Schneider, at Interventional Radiology at HSS. The doctor did hid magic and I went on vacation, using a cane and came back not needing the cane. I was able to go back to work (which involves lifting people). One week ago, I developed severe pain, this time in my right leg. I had another epidural yesterday. It is difficult to evaluate the efficacy of the injection because it has not been enough time. However, Dr. Schneider answered all my questions and, when I asked his opinion about condition of my spine, he advised me that a surgery probably will be required which I knew. Dr. Schneider is an exceptional DR. My spinal surgeon prescribed for me to have bilateral lumbar epidurals for pain relief. The first DR. did them by fluoroscopy and no pain relief. The second time I was fortunate to get Dr. Schneider. He saw the severity of my medical condition, assessed it properly, and provided me lumbar epidurals via CT technology. This required a last minute change of room, etc.but Dr. Schneider was only concerned with doing the right thing and getting the right results.
