Dr. Shalvoy fixed my shoulder and replaced my right knee. I trust him and his advice, he is a highly skilled surgeon and knows what he is doing.

Dr. Shalvoy is a great doctor. I consulted with 5 orthopedic surgeons. All but one recommended drastic surgery. Dr. Shalvoy did not. He saved my leg. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Shalvoy also focused on healing soft tissue. The other orthopedic doctors did not. Dr. Shalvoy knows said that it was important to listen to the patient. He always listens. We make decisions together. I am blessed and grateful for Dr. Shalvoy.

Dr. Shalvoy repaired my ACL in 2000 & my Meniscus in 2020. I'm so confident in his ability as a surgeon that I am having him do my total shoulder replacement this year. He has a very calming Zen quality about him that puts you at ease. His assistant Richard Peloquin has been with him since my 1st knee surgery. They are a great team!

He operated on my shoulder 7 years ago. He is a great surgeon but has zero personality. Put aside his bedside manner and he is the doctor you want. My shoulder incision is so smooth to the touch it looks and feels like a cat scratch. I had a problem with staff after my surgery at Miriam Hospital which lead me to call him on the weekend. I swear when he walked in the doors opened without being touched. Staff ran like chickens to fix the issues I was experiencing. No a doctor to mess around with

In my opinion, Dr. Shalvoy is highly recommended. He performed a total hip replacement last year on my husband and is doing his other hip this year. We would not choose any other doctor.

Dr Shalvoy has performed knee surgeries on my daughter (both knees) and helped her to come back from two different ACL tears to play soccer once again. His bedside manner coupled with extraordinary surgical skills are to be admired and sought after! Thank you, doctor :)

Awesome bedside manner. The day of the surgery I had so many concerns he helped put all my concerns to rest with the assistance of the anesthesiologist in the nurses the surgery went well I only have four little stitches on my leg even though I'm in the little more pain than I expected post-op however everyone heals differently they had to put a plate in my leg that I didn't know about before because the meniscus was far worse once they got in there they explained everything to me .

Stay away from Dr Shalvoy. He ruined my knee (TKR) & would not own up to it. Following surgery the Xrays showed the problem that other Dr's recognized but he would not. Additionally my patella separated (Patellofemoral) as a direct result of his lack of skill, knowledge and arrogance further impacting my ability to walk. Thank goodness I received a second opinion, had the revision &can now walk normally. I lost 2+ yrs of my life & had an unnecessary revision surgery ($55,000) because of him!

I had total knee replacement. WE went over every option beforehand, then went ahead with total knee. Dr Shalvoy is the most professional doctor I've ever seen. Just the fact, that he wanted to avoid surgery and tried other options, first, impressed me. The knee is working great, though a long rehab, but that is to be expected. As the saying goes "Everyone's different. You will hear that statement a lot, if you are going for any kind of surgery. All and all, I'd highly recommend Dr Shalvoy

Dr. Shalvoy performed surgery to repair my shoulder. He provided excellent care and was very kind and patient. He takes time to answer all questions and went to the waiting room and met with my partner post-surgery to provide an update on how it went. I would not hesitate to recommend him - and his whole practice - to my friends and family. They are all great over there and couldn't be nicer and more competent.
