Best psychiatrist I have had
Dr. Sobut was my inpatient psychiatrist at Northwestern. He is by far the best psychiatric provider I’ve ever had. He listened to me and his breadth of knowledge is impressive. I did not find him to be “drug happy” at all as another review suggested. He seemed fairly conservative with prescribing. I am grateful he was the one that was assigned to me.

Dumb, insincere, drug happy quack. Avoid.
Sobut doesn’t listen and repeats what he thinks you said (despite correcting him) in future visits. He will then testify against you with these lies. He is insincere/fake with his responses, especially if attempting empathy. His main arsenal is to use drugs to treat. I don’t know of a single person he didn’t write a script for while I was in-patient. He disregards the patient’s preferences, taking away their bodily autonomy. It is a waste of time to deal with him unless you’re drug seeking.
