YOU DESERVE A BETTER DOCTOR!!!
As he is planning his retirement he is showing his lack of humanity. He told my husband , at the age of 72, and being severely affected with arthritis for the last 36 yrs. All under rheumatologists care, that he should not have pain meds!!! What kind of joke is that??? He refuses to believe his pain is worsening... Don't pick this guy... You deserve a better doctor!!!

If I could give a 0 star I would.
Dr doesn't show up for scheduled visits and you get no calls to tell you he's not coming in. Sheila the receptionist is rude and needs to be fired. If she doesn't like you or want to talk to you she just ignores your calls because they have caller ID. They don't return phone calls. Dr is rude and makes you feel like an idiot. Absolute worst.

Excellent specialist. Took me from a horrible situation (onset of RA) to a place where my quality of life is as good as normal. Does not always tell you what you want to hear, but cares about his patients and his work.

Dr. Vawter has kept me symptom-free for over 10 years with my RA. I look forward to my visits with him, and don't understand the negative reviews at all! Yes, he is to-the-point, brusque at times, but he is always punctual, very knowledgeable, and did I mention I'm symptom-free????

Dr. Vawter was very informative, friendly and helpful. I learned the most about my condition on my first visit with him then I ever learned from the multiple visits with the three previous doctors I had seen. Dr. Vawter spent 40 minutes talking to me about my condition and really impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to really look at my overall health and try to connect the dots that others had overlooked. I would certainly recommend Dr. Vawter to a friend.

Everyone is really off base about Dr. Vawter. I find him to be compassionate and he is always willing to talk to me and include me in my treatment options. Perhaps others feel he should be soft and fuzzy but he is a specialist and knows his specialty very well. Never had an issue with Dr. Vawter or his staff. Great physician

I have been seeing Dr. Vawter for over 30+ years. I have never, ever had a bad experience while seeing him. I feel the patients didn't give him a chance to work with them that gave him such bad ratings. Dr. Vawter, Dr. Kettler and Dr. Latos have saved my life more than once!!! I thank God for the gifts and talents that Dr. Vawter has used to help me many times, which were trying, at best. He is a wonderful man and doctor!! God bless him.

Very mean and condescending man. He talks to people like he is so far above them and whatever they say is meaningless. Very Rude. Like the others have said. I should have trusted the reviews and went somewhere else.

Very rude man. He cut me off every time I spoke. Only sees new patients at 8am. So I got up at 530am and drove there for him to talk to me like I was stupid. He wanted records but wouldn't look at what I had. He acted indignant about me seeing the nurse practitioner at my Dr's office. I walked out within 5 minutes of the visit.

I was very nervous about seeing this doctor because of things I had read and heard. Yes, he does have a unique personality that may turn people off, BUT he got me in very quickly for an urgent appointment. He was knowledgeable, used explanations that were easy to understand, and seemed to genuinely want to help me feel better. If you forget the bedside manner and focus on the fact that he knows his illnesses, treatments, and medicines, then you won't be disappointed.
