Prompt doctor
She’s very thorough and send you for all the scans and tests possible but the visits with her are very quick, although she answers all your questions. Don’t expect to spend alot of time with her if you don’t need it.

THEE BEST!
Dr. Kalish is an incredible and caring MD. I am forever grateful and thankful for her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Words are not enough to justify who she is as the best physician there is! Cornell is #1 and so is she.

Very caring and patient. Dr Kalish was my doctor for my first and now 2nd pregnancy. She did a great job making sure all of my high risk issues were watched over carefully. Highly recommend to anyone high risk.

Very knowledgeable, open and responsive to questions, speaks to you as a peer doesn't talk down to you, explains things respectfully, always makes me feel seen and heard. She seems on top of all the important things and to genuinely care. Visits are not long, and I always have questions between them. She or her staff respond in the portal or by phone usually within a day or two, sooner if you call. The nurse who calls back is not very warm, but does answer my questions, and Natalie in her office is so warm and wonderful, caring and above and beyond.

Highly inclined to intervene even when not necessary. Extremely prone to pushing inductions and c sections. If you are looking for a natural birth would not recommend this practice.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr Kalish. I switched doctors during my pregnancy and was so glad I did because Dr Kalish was extremely thorough and pointed out several things my previous doctor had missed. Because she’s in high demand, she’s efficient with her time, so just like any other sought after doctor in NY, you should not expect a lot of her attention if you don’t need it. In cases where you need extra attention, she will go above and beyond to personally provide it. She is very positive and always takes time to check-in on a personal level even though her waiting room is always packed. I will definitely be using her if I become pregnant again!

Uncaring. Unreachable, even when I was having an emergency, the symptoms of which she'd ignored. Had her secretary call me at the hospital when I'd been there for days. Luckily my internist showed up and took over the situation. I quickly changed doctors. I'd left a great ob for her because I needed high risk. This was beyond disappointing.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kalish for 8+ years. Dr. Kalish has always been warm and caring. She spends time getting to know you and takes the time to answer your questions and listen to your concerns. I’ve always felt like I’m in very capable hands and would recommend Dr. Kalish is anyone looking for a high-risk ob-gyn.

I never write reviews but felt it necessary. Dr. Kalish saved my daughters life. If it wasn’t for her being thorough my babu wouldn’t be here today. She was born 3 weeks early and by emergency c section. The umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice. For my postpartum Dr. Kalish was able to identify 2 infections I had and treated it. I recommend Dr. Kalish to anybody. She has a great bedside manner and took her time with me. I am so thankful to her and that she is so good and professional at what she does.

The best! – Feb 10, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kalish?
I’ve been a patient of Dr Kalish’s for a while. Initially, she was amazing...simply the best in every way. Incredible bedside manner, always inspired confidence, etc. I recommended her to others. But she- and the practice- have changed. It is impossible to get in touch with Dr Kalish. She is always too busy with meetings, conferences, etc. I was in the hospital (Cornell) several times recently with scary maternal issues while having my baby and Dr Kalish never- not even once- came to see me. She never even called me. In fact, it was very rare (over the course of weeks when I was in and out of the hospital) for any one of the many doctors at Dr Kalish’s practice to call or come check in on my progress. I am her long time patient and she could not have been more distant. I was so hurt and frustrated. I would never recommend her again. Nor will I ever use her again.

Always very kind, great bedside manner and very thorough through out my pregnancy... loved her. She knew I really wanted to know who was delivering etc my baby as she doesn’t work everyday so we planned it so I knew. As it turns out I was induced a week earlier and it was different drs but as it happened the day I actually delivered she was working in the building so came especially to deliver my baby. All the other drs leading upto the birth were great too, (I was there for 3 days before I actually delivered) highly recommend her.

Dr. Kalish took the time to address any questions or concerns I had, listened to me at every step and I felt confident in our teamwork toward delivering my healthy son. She allowed me to make all final decisions and made sure I had all info I needed to do so. I had such a positive experience with her throughout the pregnancy and delivery, I would send all friends/family to her without hesitation. She was instrumental in having such a wonderful pregnancy and I can't thank her enough for her wonderful expertise!

Dr. Kalish was everything I hoped to find when it came to beginning again with a new doctor after experiencing a traumatizing loss. On our first visit, she spent well over an hour with me going over my full medical history, which is extensive, and helped me plan my next steps when it came to trying again. She had such patience and a wealth of knowledge that made us feel comfortable in making her our new doctor for our upcoming pregnancy. I can't say enough about her candor and sensitivity. We have consulted more doctors than we can count on both hands and Dr. Kalish is a true example that not all doctors are created equal.

Dr. Kalish was my doctor and my son was born in december 2017. I had a potentially devastating complication of vasa previa. She kept me calm, well-informed, highly monitored, and listened closely as well as giving us her expert advice and patience from the very beginning to the end. We had difficult decisions to make in terms of deciding to have him at 34 weeks, for a higher chance of a live birth. My son is thriving and I thank my lucky stars I found Dr. Kalish and her team.
