Dr. Robin Matuk, MD

Found Dr Matuk to be a pleasant fellow, very thorough in prescribing tests. But he is in too big of a hurry to explain the results & recommend treatments. It is a challenge to make an appointment with him (think sched 3 plus months out). It is frustrating to wait months for an appt, doing prescribed tests, but get less than 5 minutes with him at appt time. He doesn't have time for questions. He is a good doc (knowledgeable) just doesn't have time or patience for his patients.

This doctor took care of me off and on for about eight years I was in remission from Crohns until there at the end until he did a colonoscopy and now all of the sudden I’m in a full-fledged Crohn’s flare, and he doesn’t remember the treatment that he had already given me. And was trying to give it to me again his office staff is rude and short they sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy, out of network. Would not call the Dr to refill my meds because he was out of the office for 2 weeks. Staff continued interfering with my care and then after I refused to come back in again and told him I was changing doctors they sent me a letter dismissing me as Matuks patient their reasons were no compliance

I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks for the outstanding care Dr. Matuk and his office provided to me, literally Dr Matuk saved my life. I’m very fortunate to have him as my GI doctor during this difficult experience. God bless you today and always for all your professionalism and hard work.

Dr. Matuk is an excellent choice for a Dr. He and his staff is very professional and knowledgable. I would recommend him to my family and friends

The staff when you call is a joke! If I could give -5 stars I would. First you call a call center. Then you get transferred to a nurse I assume. Started calling at 8:03am. No one in the office. Left a message, I did get a call back 2 hours later. Miss the call called back was on hold for 20 min. Hung up after a 61/2 hour ordeal trying make a consultation appointment. I was referred by the VA. Dr. being a VET himself I requested him. To me 6 1/2 hours trying to make the appointment is ludicrous! Lost my cool. The Assistant manager has no integrity she lied to me saying she never spoke to me which I wrote her name down right before she hung up. I hope the fix the issue at the beginning because the staff makes the Dr. So with that said, sorry Dr Matuk but I have to go somewhere else because your staff is incapable of making timely appointments for us Vets and civilians alike. I will definitely will be sending a letter to the Veteran advocate about your unprofessional staff. BEWARE!!

Awesome and thorough Good after care saved my life.

Dr Matuk is an amazing doctor. He literally saved my life, made one phone call and had me on a helicopter to Cedar Sinai within 20 minutes. He truly is a genuine person. Very direct when explaining medical conditions. His laidback personality makes it very easy to talk to him and explain “embarrassing” bowel problems. I trust him completely. If I could rate him 100 stars I would. I would recommend he and his staff to anyone.

Most impersonal and least caring doctor I have ever met. The eye that wasn't pointed outward was just filled with coldness.

Not very through of explaining a Hiatal Hernia. Have have trouble ever since Endoscopy, problem is horribly worse. Now I need to have my Hiatal Hernia that is either rolling or sliding repaired. Only last June 2016 it detected, right now I might be looking at a Surgery That I cannot not do because of age & unexplained damage to my Stomach. Not happy. It is a disease that should not be taken lightly, awful neglect. Eat light, do not lay on Left side, it effects Hernia worse. Not The Best.

What a wonderful Doctor! Very knowlegable, courteous, to the point, not afraid when he sees something that does not look as it should. Very willing to refer (Cedars Siani) when he believes there could be a problem to the best of the best as we have experienced. Very, very happy with this Doctor and would recommend him to EVERYONE!

He's a great doctor who'said bedside manners are very descent & down to earth. He tells you like it is in terms that a normal person can understand not all that medical jargon that you need at least 4 yrs of med school to understand.

I would highly recommend Dr Matuk. He is easy to talk to and explains everything in detail. Open to questions and takes time with his patients. ????

Have been to Dr Matuk many times for my hiatal hernia Barretts esphogus and acid reflux just recent had my 2 year survellience via endo scope and hands down he is the best I can't any more than that
