Dr. Robin Zagone, MD

Dr. Zagone was really helpful to my dad. He explained all the options and provided good advice. He operated on my dad and he is doing so much better. We did telehealth for follow-up appointment which was also so much easier than going to his office.

I was referred to him for urinary problems with a PSA score in the low teens which he told me was normal for my age. One year later my score was over 400. His office visit reports were full of lies and claimed I was being treated erectile dysfunction, which is a compete distortion of the truth. He claimed I refused future PSA lab tests which is also a lie and does not make medical sense. I should have had tests at least once a year. I have always trusted my doctors, but he has shown me that there are some you can not trust. I now have stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized to my bones. On my last office visit with him he told me he was leaving Providence and looked at my chart and said 'Oh I brought in the wrong chart.' and left. Good riddance to Dr. Zagone and I am sorry I ever met you.

I feel he is knowledge in his field and even very good at it. But seemed rushed and unconcerned, it seemed as though he thought my condition was not worth his time. He did diagnosis part of my condition correctly, I feel. But I felt I had two things going on, the second was not even diagnosed or even really addressed except to say it was not life threatening. That also is true, but it is concerning and uncomfortable.

I have had several urologists over the years, and he is by far the best. He really took his time with me and was very knowledgeable of my conditions. He offered me treatments that another urologist never even brought up, and they worked! So glad he moved here!

Dr Zagone was petulant and downright rude when he wasn't immediately selected to be in complete charge of all aspects of my prostate cancer case. He was more concerned about his ego than my welfare-at least that's the way I perceived it when he refused to give me an urgently needed injection if he couldn't be in charge.
