I have hernias at 3 of his incision sites. I've had 9 surgeries, he has done 1 of the 9, this is the only time I've developed hernias. A cause of an incisional hernias is poor stitching technique. Given then varying locations all being at incision sites with no post op infection or complications, makes me think it was surgical error. I went back to him to consult for the first hernia we found but their insurance person Nicole was a nightmare, thank goodness. Her terrible attitude saved me.

I was referred to Dr Hayes by my primary care doctor for a Hernia Consultation. I did a fair amount of research in advance about hernias, so I had a fair idea what to expect. Dr Hayes was very helpful, listened to my description carefully, and answered my questions consisely and understandably. His physical examination of my hernia was well explained and understandable to me. With his help I was able to make an informed decision to postpone surgery until my condition warranted otherwise.

This doctor is someone who doesn't have any compassion, he operated on my grandmother today. He promised to pray with her before, never did. Never came to talk with her after the surgery. Never came to the waiting room to let me or my family waiting how the surgery went. It's disgusting how he treated my family and we will make it a point to ensure no loved ones ever have anything serious performed with Portland Adventist and well as this "surgeon".
