I received stellar help from Dr. Liu and team.
My experience with Dr. Liu was excellent. I am almost a year out from a double hernia surgery. I am once again able to provide a great deal of educational volunteer work (I am a retired teacher) as well as working hard to help my family. Dr. Liu and his talented team helped me avoid being an added burden to my family during the pandemic. The hernias were serious. Dr. Liu, based on my experience, is a highly skilled, dedicated professional performing a difficult, important job with grace, courage, and honor. Thanks, and Best Wishes to Dr. Liu and his team of caring, capable professionals. In my case, I was initially afraid to exercise some months after surgery due to the severity of the hernias. I have found that light work on an exercise bike actually decreased the residual twinges of pain which were alarming me for a while. The tissue appears to need motion to heal without stiffening up due to scarring. Many Thanks to Dr. Liu and his Fine Team!

I had 2 unsuccessful hernia surgeries before Dr Liu was recommended to by a doctor who had watched him doing a hernia operation, When we met he explained everything before the surgery and has been monitoring the results with both office and video meetings since it. During a very hard life I have had many surgeries and I think Dr Lui is one of the few surgeons I have complete faith in.

If you are lucky enough to have heard about Dr. Liu for hernia repair look no further. He is a cutting edge hernia repair specialist, an expert in minimally invasive robot assisted surgery. He is so highly regarded that he teaches other surgeons how to use the robot. He operated on me at 7am on a Friday. By that afternoon I was able to walk a half mile. The day after surgery I walked over a mile. And by the second day after surgery I felt pretty close to normal. Pain management was over the counter pain meds only (didn't need any Opioids). And his post operation instructions are extremely detailed, very helpful and easy to understand. I could not be happier with his work !!!

At the end of 2018 I had an inguinal hernia repaired by Dr. Liu. Recovery was painless: I did not have to take any narcotic pain medication like hydrocodone; I took only Tylenal for the minor discomfort in the first few days after surgery. Now, 14 days after surgery, I am good as new! The entire experience with Dr. Liu was completely satisfactory. I would recommend him to anyone needing hernia surgery.

From my first appointment with Dr. Liu, I felt certain that I would be in competent hands. He was excellent at educating me on the procedure and the risks; he even showed me a video of one of his previous robotic surgeries. Even though he had never performed this specific surgery, his track record and confident demeanor provided the reassurance I needed to go ahead with the surgery. The outcome was better than expected with only an overnight stay and virtually no pain afterwards.

Dr Rockson Liu performed colon surgery on me in August 2017. I had full confidence in his skills and was very pleased with his performance. He explained thoroughly about using the robot in surgery as I was hesitant about its use. His bedside manner is extraordinary and the way he cares for his patients is outstanding. He came to visit me on his day off in the hospital after surgery, as I was recovering. I was very pleased that I got such a skilled surgeon who is also a wonderful person.

I strongly recommend Dr. Liu to friends/family.He performed a very high risk surgery on my 74 yr. old mother and stood by her side the whole way through. She had several health risks going into surgery, and although we were reluctant,Dr. Liu conferred w/other dept. heads to make sure surgery was the best decision.Immediately after the operation he explained exactly what he did and even showed us pictures! He came to the hospital everyday while she was in recovery, including his day off!Thank u Dr.!

Dr. Liu is very down to earth, reassuring and intelligent. His manner is calm, friendly and informative. One of the best doctors I have seen in my lifetime and I have seen a lot of doctors having quite a few of chronic conditions. Normally having surgery is a very stressful and scary situation however, Dr. Liu is confident and kind, really sets your mind and fears aside because you know, you don't just hope, you know he cares and he will take care of you.

I recently experienced a very sudden and painful gall bladder attack and confronted with questions as to how to address this health issue. Dr. Liu took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, eventually helping ne make an educated decision that I felt confident and comfortable about. He made himself available post surgery by calling and checking in to ensure that I was healing and recovering well. I felt genuinely cared for by a doctor who is both thorough and compassionate.

I met with Dr Liu to discuss a tumor in my colon. My son & I left that appt well informed and confident my fate was placed in the hands of a competent doctor & his robot. What was most reassuring was the man behind the title of Surgeon. Dr Liu is a compassionate man that allowed me to relax & surrender my worries which allowed me to enter the OR, 2 days later, for a Colectomy Partial Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic procedure in a relaxed & positive state of mind. Dr Liu & his robot saved my life
