Dr. Rodrigo Bolanos, MD

Came in through the ER because of severe electrical heart problems. His team was very thorough in their work up, and although he hated needed to put a pacemaker in someone young, did not hesitate. He worked hard to get her one of the less intrusive mini pacemakers and even came in when he was not scheduled to perform the surgery himself.

Dr Bolonas has very poor bedside manners. -Belittling myself as well as my previous EP doctors. He went as far as to say his colleague, Dr Acevedo’s patients who had ablation procedures their success rate was low.-In a cold and arrogant way he said, “I saw something about afib”. First time I’ve heard this. Questioned him and he said he didn’t know where it came from and dismissed it. -I told him I’ve been dealing with these symptoms for years. -He wanted to put me on more meds instead of trying to fix the problem with other methods.-I told him this was different than what Dr Acevedo said. He actually listened to me and wanted to help me. -He knew I was upset and frustrated and changed his tone a little; too late.-He started saying he understood. He said I could come in without an appointment when I was having the palpitations to have an EKG.-He didn’t take any notes. He didn’t tell me to follow up. He left me hanging. No good bye. Nothing.
