Dr Torres is an AMAZING surgeon. I searched for and found the BEST! He is professional, thorough and sincere in his assessment of what is needed and the expected outcome. His attention to detail is unparalleled. POST SURGERY: I am now nine weeks from surgery and I have no had pain…NOT ONE MOMENT. This after two years of living with excruciating pain and attempting many methods to become pain free; to include injections, PT, chiropractic, laser, acupuncture, PRP. For anyone searching for the best Dr Torres is the surgeon for you! He has my highest recommendation. Additionally, Dr Torres staff is exceptional. His nurse, Kathy, is outstanding. She is professional, perceptive, knowledgeable and kind. All in all the very best experience I have ever had with a doctor and staff! FIVE STARS

I don't recommend Dr Torres for spine work
I would recommend avoiding Dr Torres. I felt that Dr. Torres was very arrogant and unprofessional towards me, my needs and towards my other doctors. Dr Torres denied my spine surgery without even knowing my history. I had to file multiple appeals, get an extra unneeded MRI that showed same exact compressed nerve as the original MRI. I was very disappointed in Dr Torres and would not recommend him for spine work.

I can't say enough good things about this neurosurgeon. I had to have the chiari surgery and then a shunt put in 2-3 weeks later. Dr. Torres is very knowledgable about this condition and has an extensive medical background. He didn't put off my symptoms like every other doctor who says its just a headache go see a neurologist. He was very assuring and visited me often while in the hospital. I was a pretty needy patient, do not do well with pain and he was just amazing. I am doing so much better symptom wise after the surgery and can do so many other things I couldn't before, I highly recommend you see Dr. Torres!

The best practice ever. Dr. Torres is very knowledgeable, courteous, respectful, his expertise goes above and beyond his dedication and his work. I had an cervical spine surgery. He replaced three cervical disks. C5, C6, and C7. This was my best performed surgery ever had. This was my 20th surgery that I had so far. But the surgery that he performed. Was awesome and went well as he explained to me. Also his staff is absolutely amazing and courteous, they all dedicated the time and the needs from all my concerns. Also made me feel like part of the family. Great job! Leonardo MacHado

I had an emergency back surgery, at Celebration Hospital, with Dr. Torres and it was very successful. He is caring, patient, and a good listener, what it is rare among doctors nowadays. He is an encouraging doctor, making you to believe in yourself and pursue his advice. I am very pleased with his care.

I was on vacation in Orlando & had debillataring headaches & throwing up hour on the hour. I went to ER @ Celebration & told the team there about my surgery history on my spine & recent coccygectomy. I had a whole team of neurosurgeons & it took them 9 days to find out I had 3 CSF Leaks & a fistula at my sacrum area. I was fortunate enough to have Dr Torres on my team of neurosurgeons & had told him that I had an issue with my L5-S1 as well, but every neurosurgeon always said that it was obliterated & nothing could ever be done there & I would just have to live with the pain. After surgery, I noticed that Dr Torres had done a laminectomy & decompression on my L5-S1. I don’t recall being told that, but I was pretty drugged up. I am pleased to say that I have very little pain after 6 years of 24/7 pain. I would never have found Dr Torres on my own. God sent him to me! Very pleased with this great man! Glad Dr Torres didnt give up on me & found the issue/s & took care of them!

I first saw Dr Torres about a month ago with extreme pain from a herniated disc in my lower back, causing intense sciatic pain on my right leg. Dr. Torres recognized the urgency of my situation, ordered an MRI stat, and got me in for surgery within the next week. He performed a microdiscectomy just over two weeks ago and I had immediate nerve pain relief. It's a true miracle and I'm so grateful for Dr. Torres and his coordinator Lynette for making sure I got in promptly. Thank you!!

Hello, I was referred to this physician by the VA. The coordinator was prompt in scheduling my appointment and returning my calls in a timely manner. The medical staff were caring and professional. On behalf of the physician he took the time to discuss my procedure and I did not feel as if I was a number. Personal and professional conversation. On a scale of 1 to 10 this physician and his staff gets a 10 from me...

When I was told I needed Lumbar 3-5 Decompression & Fusion surgery, I knew I needed to locate the best neurosurgeon available. I received an overwhelming referral from the medical profession that Dr. Roland Torres is the best. I was amazed that Dr. Torres who just recently joined Celebration was available. I felt I had the best chance of success with him as my surgeon. I called Dr. Torres’ office Dec 28th and met with him on Dec 29th. Using my MRI, Dr. Torres showed/explained to me the issues with my back. I had my surgery on Jan. 15th. I no longer have the pain that I had prior to surgery. I am amazed at how little pain I have had. I can now sleep on my back for the first time in months. Without reservations, I recommend Dr. Roland Torres to anyone who is having neurosurgery.

If I could give this Doctor a zero rating I would. After a simple ACDF surgery, which I thought would be simple, he has left me with 30% mobility to the right and left. After getting a second opinion, by highly referred Neuro Surgeon in Daytona Beach, I was told the following....the hardware Dr. Torres used on me, 99% of surgeons do not even use anymore, also he could not correct my flunked surgery, because the risks would outweigh the benefits. Do yourself a favor, stay far far away from this Doctor. I will never be the same. And yes, I followed all post op procedures to no avail.
