I was recently treated at Adventist Health Castle and had to go through two surgeries with two different surgeons during my stay. Doctor Cortez was amazing. He explained everything about these procedures to me very well. He spoke with me in a manner that I could easily understand and made me feel very comfortable with what was happening. He took the time to answer my questions and even to talk story a bit as well. He kept me updated with my progress and helped me understand my discharge instructions. Overall, Dr. Cortez was very approachable, didn't seem hurried, took his time speaking with me, and spoke in a manner that I could easily understand. I was very glad that he was there to help me!

Castle Hosp in Kailua is great. Except for Dr. Cotez. If I could give zero stars I would. Dr. Cortez is the most arrogant, self centered, ill mannered doctor we have every encountered. He has no bedside manners and doesn't even listen to his patients. Cortez dismissed my father's request to not release him and said he was still very ill. Within hours of leaving, my dad was rushed to ER and we were told by Castle he was in no condition to be released in the first place. So much for being a doctor
