Dr Warakomski himself is GOOD
I like Dr Warakomski. As others have said, he takes his time with all his patients and never made my husband or I feel like we were just another body. He explains things well, answers all questions. Very very easy to talk to. Does not have the "I am Doctor god. Just do what I say" complex. Yes, we figure our wait time will be about 90 minutes. Any issue that we've experienced is with the staff. The staff in Orland Park is for the most part very nice...HOWEVER trying to call to make an appointment or leave a message is hit or miss.....you can sit and let the phone ring and ring during business hours and get no answer or you are spontaneously disconnected....I have found it easier to just go in and stand in front of the girls to make an appointment. Leaving a message for the medical assistant is a joke....maybe 1/4 of the time you get a response, otherwise forget it...we are moving to another area or I would find a new doctor just for the lack of communication and accessibility

Dr. Warakomski takes his time with his patients to address their concerns. He answers any questions you have honestly and in a way that an average person can understand. If he doesn't know something he will look it up, confer with colleagues or refer a patient to specialist to ensure proper treatment.

Was with Dr. Warakomski for 10+ years but last 2 years have been very difficult. He used to be a great doctor and followed up. One of his nurses is either grossly incompetent or she chooses not to support his patients in a caring, effective manner. Referrals, messages and labs go missing, she documents that she has called and left messages when she hasn't. Despite me calling, doctor never called me back re: lab work. I had an infection. This was the last straw. Got new doc and am on antibiotics.

My husband has been a patient for many years. Insurance not covering one of his meds so dr. put him on new medication which is not working. Blood sugar in the 300's. Husband has called office several times to see what he should do. No one calls back. Went into the office on 02/19/16 . Was told he has to make an appointment to speak with the Dr. Dr. exited exam room but would not speak with my husband. Told employee to get a phone # and will call back. No return calls yet.

Horrible. Stay away. Minimum 1.5 hour wait. Acts friendly and caring but truly you are just a paycheck to him. He Actually took personal cell phone calls during exams. Office staff is rude. He or staff do not return phone calls.

I would, and have, recommended Dr. Warakomski to friends and family. My husband, son and I have been patient's of his for a number of years and quite honestly would not be comfortable with anyone else. You won't find anyone better.
