Very rude
Dr. Landmann is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. My 96 year old mother-in-law had a squamous cell carcinoma that was right next to her anus removed by a surgeon in MN. A week later we were scheduled to return to our FL home. After a checkup by the surgeon, he cleared her to travel. The stitches were all on the inside and she was healing well. She did well until we got into the cab, when she felt the wound tear open. The next morning we took her to Baptist Hospital emergency room. The ER staff was wonderful. But Dr. Landmann was called in as a consultant. He basically refused to help her and said we needed to get on the next plane back to MN and let the surgeon there clean up the mess. After harsh words he did pack the wound with gauze and said he did not think stitching it up would do any good because of the location. I am sure there are plenty of great surgeons in Jacksonville, so my advice is to steer clear of this one.

Dr. Landmann saved my life. I am so grateful for everything he has done for me since being diagnosed with colon cancer a year ago. I had a total colectomy and an ileostomy placed. I am very young to be diagnosed with this cancer and he was fantastic at explaining everything he was going to do during surgery. I always look forward to my checkups with him.

Dr. Landmann performed my j-pouch surgery. I had such faith in him, I waited an extra few months between surgeries during his transition to Baptist. I wouldn't ever allow any other surgeon to work on me. Dr. Landmann saved my life. He is extremely PASSIONATE about his work, caring, knowledgeable, and has an excellent bedside manner. He truly cares about you as an individual and always addresses your needs and concerns. He views you as an individual rather than "just a patient".

Dr landmann performed my bowels resection, Prior to the surgery he was very thorough to explain in detail what he will do and if he found something more than expected what he would do in that situation. After the surgery he spent a good amount of time explaining what he found and how he proceeded. I had some complications while recovering were my digestive system would not wake up, nothing moved for a week. Dr landmann was genuinely concerned and kept on my condition daily. I highly recomend

My visit with Dr. Landmann was poor. Mayo Clinic, however, is amazing. He was very rude to me and my family. I had a cancer in my colon. I'm also fat and I smoke. Dr. Landmann treated me poorly and basically refused to operate on me because of my size. He said I would need a big incision and have a permanent bag. Fortunately, I asked for a 2nd opinion from his partner who was excellent. He operated on me - did it with a robot and I don't have a bag. Just go to someone other than him for care.

Dr Landmann is outstanding! I would most strongly recommend him for any of his specialties. Both my wife and I have been fortunate to have benefited directly from his extensive experience, vast knowledge and tremendous skills to perform surgeries and other treatments to fully address our medical conditions. Thank you for your compassion, understanding and patient-focused care tailored to each patient. We are forever grateful!

It remains to be seen since I am only 2 weeks post op. But he seems knowledgeable and gave me hope of getting a jpouch when my surgeon in Orlando said I was not a good candidate. I only saw him once after surgery. Other dr. came in periodically which I guess is the protocall.
