They deleted my previous negative review
Got a letter saying he is retiring. My previous negative review got deleted for suggesting that..... Dr. Manis dismissed my serious health concerns despite clear evidence of selective IgM deficiency, recurring infections, and pain in enlarged lymph nodes confirmed by ultrasound. He inaccurately claimed my low IgM levels were “a good thing” amoung other inaccuracies, he suggested on my medical records I have a “somatic preoccupation” without proper evaluation. He ended my appointment by telling me there is nothing wrong with me per current medical knowledge. The dismissive care delayed proper diagnosis and treatment, causing unnecessary distress.

  • Appointment wasn't rushed

What could be improved

  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Staff wasn't friendly

Got nothing accomplished!
I was referred late in 2024 to him. I had read reviews ahead of time. Now that I see he retired, I feel like speaking up over how I felt after my 2 appts. Didn't feel like he took the issue as seriously as I did, rightly so from what I know about the 'condition'. Drove from one side of my town to the other side of Piqua, for both appts. Nothing done, just said, keep an eye on it! I figured at the very least, I'd been given a prescription to TRY to eradicate the problem. In all fairness to him, it's highly resistant to meds, he didn't do A thing. Set an appt. up for June 2025. I feel his office should've let me & others, that were newer patients towards end of 2024 that he was retiring, so I could've been established elsewhere by now! Gee thanks! The one 'nurse' wasn't very pleasant either appt. Jen, was super sweet, efficient, helpful. So the one review I read before I went to him was right. She been going for yrs to him, said he didn't give her the care like before, figured retiring..

Very considerate and down to earth provider. I think it is time to do away with the masks unless the individual feels comfortable using one. It is still hard to understand someone using a mask and facial expressions are not visible which is a way of communicating.
