Would not listen to my concerns
I came to see Dr. Barry for bad migraines and possible celiacs. He told me I was likely just “stressed like all college students”. After having an MRI with another doctor, I had a mass in my head that had to be removed through a month heavy antibiotics. So it was not just stress, and I told him this. He would not listen. Do not see this doctor.

Dissatisfied
As someone who has relocated many times in their youth and seen a fair share of family medicine doctors, I can confidently say that I have never left an appt more unsatisfied than my recent visit with Dr. Berry. After denying my outside testing results for adhd due to its lack of depth, he failed to give me the name of the type of testing report he would actually accept. He wasted time going over my completed anxiety & depression questionnaire that I've only taken at least 20 times over the last 5-6 years. He is narrow-minded and unrealistic in the sense that he told me I needed my anxiety & depression under control before he would begin to treat any kind of adhd. In an ideal world that might work, but I'm not sure it ever occurred to him adhd might be the source of my other mental illnesses. I wish I had read the reviews on here before seeing him. I've never left an online review for any reason until now. This is the first medical visit I've left FRUSTRATED, hopeless, and in tears.

Doesn’t listen to patient
As someone else has stated, Dr. Berry bases his entire appointment on the anxiety and depression survey. I was going through a hard week of classes and filled the questionnaire out honestly. During the appointment he also found out that my father passed 3 years prior. He correlated this event to my survey and told me that if I have not processed my feelings then I should seek out therapy to “get over it”. He allowed me no chance to explain that was not the case because he kept talking over me and not listening. My first and last time seeing a male doctor.

Incorrect info, doesn’t listen to patient
Dr Berry is very fond of the little anxiety and depression questionnaires for determining how the patient is doing. This would be fine, except he relies entirely on them, and then proceeds to not listen to the patient’s thoughts on how they’re feeling. In my most recent visit he asked me very little about how effective I think my medication is. He also didn’t ask for any background on the scores I got on my anxiety and depression questionnaires. In a previous visit, I had to try to speak over him and get him to give me the time to give this background info (which was noted by the scribe). This time around, not only did he read the still-applicable background info, but he gave me no chance to provide it. In a separate issue, Dr. Berry also told me that I had to make sure not to take acetaminophen with my medication, and to take ibuprofen instead. I did as instructed, and after taking it I found out that he mixed them up and it was not generally safe to take my medication with ibuprofen.

This doctor was rude, unsympathetic, and would not give me the time of day during my visit. I came in to deal with one issue and was going to ask him questions about another issue I was experiencing. As I explained to him what was going on, he proceeded to walk out the door and treat me as if I was a preschooler asking him about a cut I got on the playground. He was extremely condescending with horrible bedside manner, and completely ignored my concerns. I would not recommend going to see him.
