He did not run on time but they did fit me in same day as my CT showed stones. He is short with his explanations but answers questions appropriately. My surgery went smoothly. And he made me feel comfortable with my care.

He is lazy, cavalier, flippant, arrogant and sexist. He has one of the worst bedside manners I have ever witnessed (I have a PhD in medical ethics, so I know). My father died of renal failure after having 3 kidney transplants and he casually joked about removing my mom's kidney to stop her UTI's. When I pointed out that this was inappropriate (as if telling my sister she needs a "cab" as in cabernet to calm her down wasn't bad enough--she was livid by the kidney joke), he said there was nothing wrong with it. He then suggested we find another urologist. Why? Because I dared to ask questions, to follow up when his incompetent staff would take days to get test results back while my 90 year mother was fighting off an infection that had landed her in the hospital 3 times. There was no urgency, no follow up, etc. He just "assumed" regular treatments would work and didn't care what would happen if they didn't. He is lazy and hates questions that reveals his laziness. WORST DOCTOR EVER!

If you want a doctor who blames the patient for why a treatment isn’t working and then sends the patient home without any attempt at helpful treatment, Dr. Catanese is your man. It is not surprising he barely earns two stars, apparently he is more interested in getting on with his weekend than actually paying attention to a suffering cancer patient. What a pathetic and cruel excuse for a man supposedly in the healing profession.

Dr. Catanese and his staff are an absolute embarrassment to the medical field. He spent the entire visit trying to buddy up to me and sell me on his probiotics. He then suggested a $20,000 surgery to blast my 2 kidney stones, without addressing the root of the issue in the slightest. After I had to request, and personally send out a 24 hour urine analysis, I was supposed to be called with my results in 2 weeks. 5 weeks later after several calls I was informed they've had the results in office for at least 2 weeks. No calls, and I couldn't even get a nurse to look over the results with me. I had to come in and just demand my results. Drive as far as you need to avoid this office. They should not even be allowed to practice medicine.

HORRIBLE! He wasn't listening, promoted himself and didn't even try to help me. I felt embarrassed and humiliated and he basically called me a liar.

Once diagnosis is made, minimal contact with doctor. Acts as if he has more important things to do than see patients. Did not give me a heads-up about upcoming procedures.
