He was doing a simple hernia surgery and he punctured my small intestine twice. I didn’t know it when the operation was complete and I went home so sick for the weekend and ended up in the emergency room because of how sick I was and the pain. They did a scan to find the holes in my intestine and rushed me in for emergency surgery. I spent 10 days in the hospital. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and listened to what he had to say on what happened. But after the first 3 days of not getting better in found a different dr. He had no sympathy at all. Looking at other reviews sounds like this is a common practice of his.

I’m a medical professional, I understand the protocol and procedure. I had a negative experience with my procedure. I went in for a endoscopy and my son had to drop me off due to COVID precautions. My husband is a medical provider and was unable to be with me due to COVID. When you have any procedure the provider is obligated to walk through the procedure with you explaining what they are doing and the risks. Then the patient signs a consent. He came in asked if I had any questions and I said “I don’t think so, I guess your just going to look around and fix the problem if there is one?” He responded with yes if it’s something that can be fixed. That was it. The nurses were awesome very kind and comforting they tried to explain the procedure to me a little more. I didn’t really know what to ask the Dr. and he certainly didn’t explain any of it. The Anastasis provider however did come in and walk through his part of the anesthesia and what medications that he would use and possible risk

This man nearly killed me. Had to have appendectomy at West Valley. Surgery went fine, but pain continued to get worse. He and his rude nurse both told me "you just had surgery, of course you're in pain". It took 2 wks before I finally convinced them to give me an appt. In the meantime, I had gone to the ER and my regular physician and they both just gave me pain meds and told me I had to follow up with the surgeon. I couldn't stand up straight because I was in so much pain, even with pain meds. When he saw me in office rushed me over to be admitted in the hosp for tests. Turns out I had a gigantic abscess that formed in my abdomen. After transfer to a different hospital for draining, it was found that i had almost 3 liters of pus and had to wear a drainage tube that was sewn into me for over 2 mos. I lost my job because of this man and he didn't care. I should have sued the hell out of him but I was too sick.

If I could give him a -5 I would. He nicked my fiancé’s bile duct sting a simple gallbladder removal and didn’t bother to mention it. We ended up back in the hospital St. Als and a different dr found the nick and drained 100cc’s of fluid. Sent him home the next day in pain worse than when he went in. He ended up in St. Luke’s a week later for 3 and a half weeks. They ended up putting a biliary drainage bag in for 2 weeks. He still has complications and no apologies have been made by St. Als.
