I had the tendon on my right hip come unattached. He went in and reattacheded it to the hip. He did an outstanding job. I was an out patience surgery. I never even had to take the first pain pill!!! Excellent surgeon.

Dr, Hayter was ALWAYS very caring and kind.
In 2025 Dr. Hayter performed a partial knee surgery on my left knee. He was not quick to recommend surgery, as I did several rounds of cortisone shots over several months. After not getting any relief, he told me I was a good candidate for a partial knee replacement. He was always very kind, compassionate and knowledgable. My knee has done very well, thanks to Dr. Hayter. His office staff were always very kind and got me in to see him with short notice when I was in pain prior to the surgery. I recommend him highly.

Totally
Reverse shoulder surgery was a complete success. I was an out patient as was my wife who had both her knees replaced. Dr Hayter even was always available for post op concerns. I would rate him 100 percent. Thank you Dr Hayter, no more shoulder pain! Thanks also to Dee and Regina, his staff. I would highly recommend Dr Hayter. We're so glad we found him thru a friend.

I'll always go to him
I have found Dr. Hayter by a friend 7 years ago. Were he provided me with options. I had partial knee at the age 53. It has been great I goy my life back. Now at 60 I have had the other knee with a partial. I have read the negative reviews here on this site, and I'm sorry to those. I have not experienced anything like they did. The office staff has always been fantastic and yes he could be a little warmer with a bedside manner, but he is friendly and calming. Do you really need more. He is a great surgeon... I have recommended him to several of my friends, and they love him & the staff. I am in Punta Gorda, FL. and know that I may be passing many other ortho doctors to drive to Clearwater. BUT HE IS WORTH IT.

Great Doctor
Dr. Hayter performed a total rotator cuff replacement on April 8, 2022 and here I am 5 weeks later using my repaired arm to perform basic movements. Dr. Hayter is very personable and quick to answer any questions I had. I would and have recommended Dr. Hayter's service to several of my friends. I put off surgery for over 5 years, dreading the recovery time, Dr. Hayter was recommended by a friend, and so glad I went to see him. There is some discomfort initially, but it was short lived and I am now on the happy road to recovery.

I have had three surgeries done by Dr. Hayter. He is very knowledgeable, I find him very personable and have recommended many people to his practice. I trust him with my joints that were very painful from arthritis. He won't tell you what you want to hear. He tells you what you need to hear. I'm 65 and still able to mow my own lawn, do yoga, and walk a 70lb Pitbull. I credit Dr. Hayter with making my later years be the years I want to live.

The staff was warm and welcoming. The imaging personnel was delightful. But Dr Hayter … he didn’t say hello, introduce himself he was rude condescending and quite frankly disrespectful. I felt like I was an imposition to him. I don’t like leaving a bad review but he could be the best there is and I wouldn’t want him to operate on me!!! Seriously ?? patients are seeking help, advice, maybe alternatives and we definitely need to feel confident in any doctors ability to not only be able to preform procedures but to be kind, understanding not belittled…his office was empty. Now I understand why… it was just unnecessary. What an attitude.. I would not recommend him to anyone

Dr. Hayter performed a knee resurfacing on me and I am so happy with the results as well as the professionalism of the Doctor and his amazing staff. The entire recovery process is well thought out and the staff is amazing and there for you every step of the way. I was up and about in less than 2 weeks. If you have knee problems I would highly recommend looking into whether you are a candidate for resurfacing as opposed to replacement. Dr. Hayter and his staff work well with those who come to him from out of town/state and accommodate as much as possible. You won't regret checking it out.

You could have killed my mom. You didn’t bother to ask if she had the Covid 19 vaccine and gave her a cortisone shot the day after getting the vaccine. By the time she got back home she couldn’t walk and had to be taken by ambulance to the ER. She picked your practice because of the good reviews. Maybe you should work on your bed side manner and talk to your patients.

Dr. Hayter re-surfaced my hip 12 years ago at age 80 and I have played conpetitive tennis three time per week since that time with no problems. I saw him recently and he has loosened up somewhat - he smiles once in a while now. Get over it, he is the best at his trade.

I know by referral that he is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He did 3 joint replacements for my mother, so when I needed help with my arthritic knees I drove 2 hours for his services. He is not warm and fussy, so don't expect that. He knows his stuff and is very direct. Stay on topic and you'll be fine.

It is a year since Dr Hayter did a partial knee resurfacing on my right knee. I am in more pain now then before my surgery. His follow up is practically non existent. When I called after a few months to complain that I still couldn’t walk, he prescribed 120 oxycodone pills instead ofwanting to see me. He never called me back to discuss my ongoing problems, even after several calls to get help.I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. I have followed up with two other Ortho doctors and both said that Dr Hayter did the wrong surgery on me, that he never should have done a partial replacement. I will regret using him for the rest of my life. And he REVIEWS these recommendations before he lets them be published!
