Toxic medication
Telehealth
Dr. Parris prescribed medication that was toxic to my medical condition and then told me don't blame the drug when confronted with information about it that was provided by my specialist. He also failed to meet the standard of care when he did not warn me of potentially fatal drug interactions between the medicines he prescribed.

They never answer the phone nor do they return voicemails. And this is a referral follow-up. Why am I not surprised with the low scores? Houston has literally the worst care for CRPS patients. This is pretty much standard for pain management doctors. They just never respond and if you are fortunate enough to see one, they *all* are the same. No calls. If these doctors are so fabulous, maybe they can hire staff.

I have been chronic pain sufferer since rear end car accident in 2005, had 22 injections in neck, seen so many doctors, been to so many digferent cities for help. The former doctors that treated me retired that saw that I had surgery in 2008 and took me after he retired. I looked in medical for insurance carriers and saw his quote on NO ONE SHOULD SUFFER WITH CHRONIC PAIN. I mean i have slept with ice packs around my neck been on meds that helped but not got me totally out of pain that my insurance approved. He started me in medication abd made sure this medicine helped me live painless as much as possible. Qdos to this man for his help. Thanks be unto God the Father of lights.

My visits with Dr. Parris were horrible. He is very arrogant and does not listen to the patient, at least not me. He is very accusatory without knowledge. He often looks at the prescription database and accused me of taking muscle relaxers the hospital prescribed, which I knew nothing about until after my appointment with Dr. Parris. On that day he prescribed some muscle relaxers to help me sleep, but told me rudely don’t take both and I didn’t know what he was talking about. The medicine the hospital prescribed I didn’t pick up from pharmacy because it does not help me. So Dr. Parris assumed I was taking both. He treated me as if I was an addict and what he prescribed was not helping me and when I asked for what did help, he refused to give script for that medicine. The only reason I went to Dr. Parris is because my first pain doctor had the worst bed side manner. But Dr. Parris was worse. His treatment was not helping me and he really did not understand my condition.

My husband could not get relief from a terrible case of the shingles until we met Dr. Parris. He prescribed the appropriate meds to get my husband on the road to recovery from the excruciating pain he was experiencing. Today my husband is pain free. Thank you Dr. Parris for your outstanding and compassionate care.

I feel that everyone’s experience can be different based on that person. I can only imagine what types of patients Dr. Parris has to endure in this therapeutic area. I was in a great deal of neck pain. I was temporarily place on 2 meds until my procedure was scheduled and performed. I’m all good now. No meds and no pain! Office staff was pleasant, Office was very clean and nicely decorated. Dr. Parris was very pleasant, funny and attentive. Would highly recommend!!

Dr. Parris almost killed me. he over prescribed medicine and failed to recognize the reaction I was having. I was suicidal and had the specific danger symptoms listed for more than one of my medications. i told him over and over again what was happening He told me that I had no right to question his doctoring. He told me I did not have the right to ask to stop certain medications. He told me that if I did I would be in horrible pain. I am now off the many pills he gave me. i'm great now.

This doctor is arrogant so he does not listen to the patient. If he'd listen to patient, he would not suggest a procedure that did not work. He shouldn't belittle patient that is in pain. Then I was given free sample of meds that does work and he got upset because the patient stop taking them. The staff other that front desk receptionist isn't friendly and patient feels unwanted and don't ask to have forms completed. They do not want to complete them so they're incorrectly completed

Treated for over a year. Patient information gathering was fragmented. Office personnel was not friendly. Doctor seemed argumentative. Consultation with other patients easily overheard. Atmosphere was tense during visits. Not convinced that Doctor ever understood the orgin of my pain although told yet repeatedly suggested pain stemmed from other conditions such as aging, diabetes, prior history, etc., which were not even close to correct.

Not recommended. He would not listen when I explained that the meds prescribed were making sick and stoned. Incredibly condescending. I really felt like I was being yelled at. Was asked to take a urine test for my first visit. I thought it may be a drug screen. Later BCBS received a bill for $8,000 of urine tests. --Go somewhere else. People in pain need someone compassionate who listens.
