Dr. Roosevelt Allen, MD

Immediately recommended surgery without discussing other options. Spent less than 2 minutes in the office with me, after being 1 hour late. Took scans to another urologist who spent time to explain the information provided by Dr Allen was not accurate and surgery was not the best option.

dr allen is a good doctor..however after having several nasty side effects from medication given to me by him i called his office 4 times once to get them to preauthorize the medication,they said they would be doing that by tuesday the never called back ended up having to pay out of pocket called again after having nasty side effects tuesday the following week was told they would get back to me by 3 on thursday that didnt happen called again talk to another lady she said someone would be getting back to me by end of today didnt happen.this is unaccepatable it seems.if you really care for your patients act like so now its the weekend and i will have to grit teeth and suffer through side effects i take how i,m treated very seriously just wanted to know simply how to deal with side effects

Steer clear of this man! He’s very rude and condescending. During my visit he wouldn’t even explain to me how the surgery/procedure would work after I asked him multiple times (3 different times). He rushed my appointment and didn’t even listen to the issue I was having. He gave extremely snarky answers. also after I asked him about my other treatment options, he wouldn’t even answer or give me an alternative even though I know beforehand that there are several. To top it all off he walked away from the front desk, leaving the front desk ladies baffled and scrambling to find out what procedure to schedule me for which code to type into the computer system. Would NOT Recommend at all!

My experience with Dr. Allen was not good, he’s rude, I was delayed an hour for my appointment, no one told me why I delayed, I tried to talk to him about the situation and he said I don’t want to hear it, I said excuse me and he repeated I don’t want to talk about it I thought that was pretty rude for your doctor to dismiss you like that I’ll never see him again and hope you would not

Pleasant and civil, but poor education of the prostate biopsy procedure and the Ridiculous table you are on and torture you go through during that process. And oh not to mention it landed me in the ER - then Hospital for 3 days with an E Coli infection (even though I took the prescribed antibiotic as told) I'm very healthy - never spent a night in the hospital. Only been sick 3 days from work in 25+ yrs... Then i month later a UTI - I don't know why he never mentioned the other 2 options (MRI, or the PCA3 test) Non-invasive. These last few months have been the worst of my life!!!!!

Been going to Dr. Allen for several years. Excellent doctor who is caring and does a great job of listening and answering my questions. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Roosevelt Allen and his staff are phenomenal. My experience is always exemplary. I highly recommend Dr. Allen. for your adult and pediatric urology. Bravo Dr. Allen!

Visiting Dr. Allen is always a pleasure. He is very nice and makes good jokes. He is a very concerned doctor and makes sure to try and make my husband feel comfortable. He takes the time to answer all of my questions.

Dr. Allen was wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. I actually sent a very positive review the day after my appoinyment. BUT, I have been trying to get in touch with his CT Scheduler since September 8th to schedule the CT that the doctor wants me to get and have had no success. I've called the front desk and, yes, the girls I've spoke with are very nice BUT, no one else seems to be able to schedule it and I can't ever do anything but leave a message for Kelly. I am a very patient person...BUT?

Dr. Allen has been my doctor for over 5 years and he has consistently provided me with excellent and effective care. He is very thorough in his approach to providing care and he explains his observations and decisions very carefully to me at all times. He is very prompt in responding to my requests. I could not have had a better urologist.

The staff at Dr. Allen's office are friendly and professional. The doctor is also friendly and informative concerning your health issues. I plan to continue using him at his Monroe office.

I should have known when it took over 9 minutes on hold to schedule an appointment that this place was incompetent. Appointment wait time was over 1.5 hours with a full, standing room only wait. No organization, no office skills - total lack of professionalism. I respected my appointment time - doctor and staff could not do the same. Finding a new doctor that understands respect. Office building smells horrid.

Dr Allen is a very compassionate and easy going man. He is also an extremely thorough and competent Urologist who's main concern is his patients' well being and comfort. Highly recommend human nd his practice.

Dr Allen is a knowledgeable and nice. However, the wait time is appalling! His staff seems unorganized and did not even have me down for an appointment, which was their error. Each visit the waiting room was packed!!!

Outstanding appointment Everytime I see Dr Allen. The staff is very nice and the wait times are minimal. Whst I most about my visits with him is he take his time to explain what he sees and answers your questions without being in a rush. There is something to be said for proper bedside manner. I don't think you can go wrong with Dr Allen as your Specialist!
