Dr. Rose Paul, MD

Dr. Paul goes strictly by the book. I think she would be better at treating younger patients than the aged. She gave me a really hard time over getting a nausea medication refilled. I just wanted to have it on hand in case I needed it again. Also, she said she is not refilling my 5mg. generic Zolpidem. It is the only thing that helps me sleep. She says it is addictive. I told her that I have been on it for 30 years, and don't care whether it is addictive or not. She makes me feel like I need a gerontologist. I don't need an enemy in my doctor. I need compassion and understanding.

I wrote a very kind and helpful review about Dr.Paul and the Internship she brought into her practice. When I went to finish the site took me way off page and I wasn't able to finish with accepted. I'm frustrated about that and will do again. This isn't Dr. Paul's fault in anyway let me make clear. Dr.Paul appreciates her patience's and brings in Intern's to also help her patients. I think it's wonderful!

I recently had a very bad experience at MedPoint urgent care of Elkhart. I had been feeling poorly for a few days and wanted to get a test for covid 19 and maybe an x ray of my chest area. I called them before I went to make sure that they did covid testing there. They told me yes! When I arrived I saw Dr Rose Paul. She refused to treat me and told me that I just need to go to the hospital and that she would not even just test me for covid. When I asked her why I couldn’t be tested for covid she insisted for me to go to the hospital. I was never rude to her and asked to just get my covid test done as they told me on the phone that they test there. Dr. Rose Paul eventually just walked out of the room never answering my question of why she can’t test me. When my husband went to ask what happened and why they wouldn’t test me he was told that they have the right to refuse treatment or testing to anyone and that they refused to help me or explain why to him.

Very thorough and takes necessary time with explanations. She is goal oriented and doesn't waste your time or hers with small talk; she gets the job done and send you on your way with an explanation for follow up care. She absolutely cares that she is doing her best for you. God Bless Her
