Dismissive rude liar
1st time she told me originally that I didn’t have allergies because they couldn’t be year round & refused to give me an allergy test. 2nd time she told me people don’t develop new allergies. Refused to give me an allergy test, but I insisted so in response she refuse to give me food allergy testing. 3rd time I asked the nurse if the had food allergy testing and she said there were only a few they had on hand but had to get doctor approval. Hallett refused then lied and said they don’t do that. Worse “doctor” ever. All other doctors in UC Davis have been spectacular or at minimum professional. Hallett is TERRIBLE!!! She said that if I have reactions to food in restaurants then I should stay home & make it myself. So unprofessional.

Dismissive, doesn't read charts carefully
Everyone else was correct, don't bother coming here for a mast cell problem unless it's asthma. That's truly all she's looking for or cares about. She's the most dismissive, uneducated doctor I've seen for mast cell issues ever...and I've seen a lot. She ordered the mast cell tests when I pushed, but didn't even know to order them for when an attack is happening to see the elevation...clearly either uneducated or doesn't care.

She was dismissive, defensive, accused us of berating her when we asked questions about my symptoms. Said my 14 years of recurring symptoms didn't fit traditional Mast Cell Activation criteria and so did not see any reason to do anything else for me. We went 2 1/2 hours to see her, we're so hopeful that she would be able to help. She ignored everything my partner and I showed her in my physical symptoms presentation. Didn't read my test results I brought. She walked out on us without any offer of referral or follow up. It was a traumatic experience. Read UC Davis website reviews. Numerous patients have had similar disappointments trying to get help from her.

I do not recommend this doctor. She is dismissive and judgmental. She was unable to connect the dots when assessing multiple symptoms within several body symptoms. Her diagnosis was simplistic & insufficient. She questioned the diagnostic approach I took, which was to rule out other systemic issues using testing done under my PCP, nutritionist, and Naturopath. She seemed more interest in my career (I am a professional with a master's degree) than my symptoms. I've been sick without diagnosis for 30 years & I've seen a lot of dismissive doctors. She was one of the worst.

I take my daughter to her for her peanut allergy. I have always found her to be comprehensive in her exam and discussions with me and very kind to my daughter. Peanut allergies are scary but I do feel better with Dr. Hallet being involved in my daughter's care.

Dr. Hallett is the best Allergist I have had since moving to the area 17 yeas ago. She is patient, informative, and LISTENS to you. Her grasp of the many ways allergies impact your life as an asthmatic has made a difference to me. I had other allegorist shunt me off fo a variety of expensive diagnostic tests and they come in to "review" tjem with me for 5- 10 minutes. That is not how Dr. Hallett rolls...

Rude, arrogant, thinks she is above allowing patients to speak. Continually interrupts, refuses to perform comprehensive exam. thinks she has all the answers out of her own head nothing to do with patient. walked out of room refusing to answer questions, with half hour left of appointment. do not waste your time.

She was kind enough and had okay bedside manner. She spent a good deal of time talking with my son and me but I when I asked for a specific test she said no. She said that she didn't think it caused the problem my son was experiencing. I know from seeing another specialist (whom I trust) that she was not correct with the information she had told me and that doing this test may have been shed some light on some health issues.
