the jury is still out as to end result to see if the cancer is gone since I am still in the process of healing, Dr Zbar was unprofessional, rude and condescending. I cannot believe he spoke o me the way that he did. Would I recommend him as a surgeon, not after my experience His office staff also follows his lead, thought they were lovely but they showed their true colors.

Dr Zbar and his staff are really focused on helping people.

Dr Zbar did an amazing job. He took out a skin cancer and was so kind. He explained everything. He only sees one patient at a time, so in this pandemic, I felt really safe.

n fairness my mother did not get into see him. After the office switching her appointment 3 times in the week before, they settled on a time. Because of the offices prior switching, her health aide had to bring her rather early... 35 minutes or so. Well they would not let my very elderly, vaccinated and masked parents sit and wait due to the Delta Variant. Granted they felt 35 or 40 minutes was too long for them to sit but in my two visits to their extremely large waiting room I did not see one person come or go. So my little old parents limped downstairs and waited for me to gather them. My mother did not want an unkind man touching her after that. Furthermore when I arrived to relive their aid (I arrived to the office 25 minutes before her allotted appointment time, one of the office ladies told me the nurse took them away and they were coming back at 1) This was indeed a falsitude. They were actually kicked out and told they could not sit there early. For shame. What a mean bunch!

Dr Zbar is incredible. I have been trying to have a cyst removed for almost two years that was on my temple. Two plastic surgeons later and two dermatologists later and one ENT... finally a doctor confident enough that he can take the cyst off with ease. I had the utmost confidence in him and that I would be taken care of in the best way. The staff is so easy to work with and surgery center at Chilton Memorial was amazing. I highly recommend Dr Zbar.

I was scheduled for neck surgery at Chilton Medical Center, The Hospital itself is clean and organized. The staff is friendly and Professional. They go above and beyond. I was blown away by their expertise. Dr. ZBar (who is awesome with a capital A) walked into the room and put my mind at ease instantly. I don't know if it was his friendly personality with me or how I could see his staff loved working with him, or the maybe it was the cool music playing in the room. : ) All I can say is my mind was at ease as I was ready to have my procedure. He took a golfball sized tumor out of my neck. Now one month later, you can hardly tell there is a scar there. Communicated with me to see how I was doing and how I was healing. A true professional. As good of an experience that it could of been. Dr. ZBar and Chilton Medical Center I highly recommend !!! Thank you !!!

I was diagnosed with melanoma a couple of months ago. I was completely devastated as I knew my life would forever change. I was so afraid of what was in store for my future as well as my children. My primary care doctor sent me to Dr. Zbar for a consultation and it was the best decision I ever made. Dr. Zbar explained everything to me in such detail and guided me and my family through the entire process. He removed the melanoma with skill and attention to detail. He personally answered all of the many questions from my family with such patience. He didn't have nurses call me back but he addressed everything with me each and every time. He was there for me when I needed it the most. I recommend Dr. Zbar. He is the best reconstructive plastic surgeon.

I had a mole on my face and went to Dr. Zbar. I thought it was nothing to worry about, but he expertly explained his concerns to me. He did a biopsy and it turned out to be a cancer. Dr. Zbar calmed me down. He explained it all. He took it out and sewed it up. He did a great job.

Dr. Zbar is awesome. I had a large "lump" on my back. He removed it and repaired it. The procedure went very well. He explained everything. He and his staff were excellent. The scar is invisible. I highly recommend him !

It has been a year since I had a back lipoma removed by Dr Zbar. I normally never write reviews, but even a year later looking at my scar makes me so angry. I didn’t have a good feeling from Zbar since our first appointment, even though he came as a referral to me. He was condescending and talked down to me. The real problem came about 1 month after my surgery. I could tell the scar was not healing correctly and I called Zbar to tell him that it seemed open on one side and small amounts of blood were coming out. He was extremely nasty on the phone and told me that would be “extremely rare”. I had to insist that something was wrong and he passive aggressively agreed to have me in for an appointment. Turns out my stitches had come out. Now I have an ugly scar that is much fatter on one side. Avoid him !

Dr. Zbar is a woderful doctor. Gives clear explanation of patient choices, if patient chooses surgery by him, he schedules a preparatory visit with further preparations and describing sysmptoms after surgery and necessary wound care. He is an extremely skilled and caring surgeon, kept reassuring me all through surgery. I am glad and grateful that I had found him.

I first met Dr R Zbar for discussion about breast reconstruction. I was sent by my breast surgeon. He immediately put me at ease. I was really nervous. He explained all the options and explained everything. The staff at Dr Zbar’s office are really sweet. Margaret helped me so much. Rosie did a great job getting my procedures approved by insurance. And Dr Zbar is in network, so everything was covered. The surgery went well. Everything looks great. I am so happy.

I have a melanoma. Dr Zbar immediately made me feel calm as he clearly has a great experience and understanding. He explained everything to me. His staff made me feel like I was their number one priority. The surgery went well. My incision is healing fantastic and you can barely see it. I would recommend him to anyone.
