He is unprofessional, rude and very condescending. I have many upsetting things that occurred during our sessions but I don't want to share them here. I don't think all the positive reviews he has on another site were made by patients. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Dr. Bachar is the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. He had endless patience with me and was nothing but supportive. He was able to communicate with me with ease even if I wasn't great at explaining my own feelings of thoughts. He is very intuitive and attentive. By far the most talented psychiatrist I have ever been to.

Condescending and lacking empathy. If I could give zero stars I would. Dr Bachar should have his practice license revoked. He entered a minor’s hospital room and engaged the patient when he was given specific instruction to wait for parents to arrive and even after after the child had said ‘i would like my parents here.’ His response was ‘the child is my patient, I can do what I like...’ Unbelievable! Truly ironic that someone so arrogant lacking in self awareness would practice in psychiatry

It's quite interesting how there was a negative review written a week ago and all of the sudden 5 positive reviews show up. Why bother improving your personality when you can just write more positive reviews am i right? This man truly cannot take any criticism!

Dr. Bachar is caring, compassionate and takes the time to listen and understand you. I've had bad experiences with other doctors in the past and now that I've found him I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Dr. Roy Bachar is an incredibly uncaring, unhelpful, and rude doctor. Despite my appointments with him lasting all of 5 minutes, he acted as if he knew the ins and outs of my life. Furthermore, he never explains what he says because he wants to sound smarter than you by using fancy medical terms. The only explanation he'll give is "I'm right because I'm the doctor." Depression hurts, but Dr. Bachar will make it worse!

Understanding, intelligent and down to earth. Doesn't jump to conclusions but helps you draw your own conclusions instead. I had a very positive experience w/ Dr. Bachar.
