Incomplete treatment
Visited with physician for two appointments, both times told me she needed lab results and could not provide treatment. Made her aware all cost was on me due to high insurance deductible. She received lab results. After two calls and email, still no care/treatment provided. Total waste of my money and time. It’s unfortunate physicians can’t make or don’t want a personal connection, to pursue what they committed to doing. Taking care of patients. I should not have contacted her for status. She should had contacting me to advise of further care or treatment. I prefer to be wanted and prioritize.

terrible behavoir
Dr Aqeel was impatient and rude in answering questions. There is no reason to be unkind to any patient but that is how she behaved towards my mother. We are never going back no matter how good of a doctor she is.

Loved her
After reading the reviews I was worried, she exceeded all my expectations and listened to my concerns, she was very understanding and compassionate and calmed my fears. You can not go by only the reviews as I found her to be a wonderful doctor who cares and listens.

Form your own opinion!
My thyroid levels were extremely high and my general practitioner told me I needed to get into an Endocrinologist immediately. I read the reviews for both the doctors he recommended, Dr. Aqeel being one of them. After seeing the 3 star review and reading a few of the negative comments, I was hesitant to go to her. Dr. Aqeel could get me in sooner than the other doctor, who had better reviews, but I couldn’t wait that long to be seen. I saw Dr. Aqeel yesterday and loved her. She is kind, attentive, caring, thorough and even funny! She said she loved how organized I was because I had all my bloodwork results, ultrasound and medication listed as well as the date I started it. She took the time to sit with me and had me describe (in detail) the first day I had symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I never felt rushed, she answered all my questions and calmed my fears. Don’t let other people’s negative reviews impact your decision to see Dr. Aqeel.

I have been seeing Dr. Aqeel for 4 years. When my numbers were out of control, she was stern and serious. When my numbers became under control, she was smiling and proud of me. She is honest and only has our best health interest at heart. She is an excellent doctor.

This woman needs to retire. I have never dealt with a doctor with little to no diplomacy. My husband’s levels have been like a roller coaster. I called ahead of the appointment to make sure I could bring my daughter because she has questions about her stepdads disease. We also have a baby. Dr Aqeel flipped out because of the amount of people and told me TO LEAVE MY BABY ALONE IN THE HALLWAY UNATTENDED. I would have been happy to schedule a virtual conversation via Skype etc but the office staff ensured me that she does allow family members to be present for education services. We will be finding a diabetes educator to assist us further. Dr Aqeel, the way you treat people and how you act in situations where you are uncomfortable was appalling. Your office was in the wrong for not specifying a limit of people and an apology and accommodations should be made to help educate a 9 year old about hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia. My daughter was so freaked out, no adult should react that way
