Excellent! He diagnosed my hypertension.
I’m so thankful for the day that I went in for my annual eye exam with Dr. G. Within minutes of the beginning of the exam, be noticed “Retinopathy “ and rechecked my blood pressure; it was extremely high. Every time I saw my primary , it was within normal limits so this was a shock. I went immediately to my primary MD and was started on medication for hypertension and referred to a Cardiologist. Dr G is extremely knowledgeable regarding how health conditions can affect the Eye. I was told by my primary, that my blood pressure was so high that I could have had a stroke. I am forever grateful for Dr. Ganthier.

Rudeness in the name of professionalism!!
Dr, Ganthier is very knowledgeable about his profession, however, he has the bed-side manner of a rock. No personality, and NO time to spend with his patients. He's too busy running off to the next room and there is never time for questions, since his answers come as he is going out the door. HIS STAFF is another problem. All of the staff, with the exception of Sandy, the receptionist and one of the assistants who prepares the patients for thier exam, are all rude and MOST UNFRIENDLY. There is NO warmth at all from any of the staff. They are all trying to mimic him in 'professionalism gone amuck'. His staff is not concerned about your comfort and he isn't concerned about any conversation. We are seeking another doctor and won't be back. For the cost of an office visit, at least we should be able to feel free to discuss and question our diagnosis and test results. Very Cold, impersonal, and RUDE!!

My daughter saw Dr Ganthier twice. He spent very little time with her both times. He prescribed an eye drop both times, and both times the eye drops did not fix her problem. This spanned over 2 months. We ended up seeing another ophthamologist out town. Very disappointed in the level of professionalism, compassion, and concern for the treatment of the patient.

Dr Ganthier is very knowledgeable and proffesional, as are his office staff. I am so grateful my primary physician sent me to him for my eyes.

Although it was several years ago when I was referred to Dr. Ganthier Jr. for 3 retinal tears in my left eye, I remember the experience very vividly. Dr. Ganthier repaired the tears with laser surgery very efficiently. He was very caring and helpful. I am now experiencing ARMD and will probably be seeing him for injections later this year. I feel very confident in his ability to treat even the most serious of conditons.
