Dr. Puttappa gave me a poor standard of care. The initial appointment went well. I was referred to cardiology by my PCP having issues with syncope and fainting. Dr. Puttappa gave me an initial diagnosis of POTS and treated me with medication. (No testing just meds) I should have known something was wrong when she did not request a follow up. I ended up reaching out to her when the meds helped but did not work fully to ease my symptoms. I figured she would increase the dose but no. She requested a TTT and which took her a month to approve. I took the test and she said the results were normal. So of course I’m still wondering what on earth is wrong with me. As a single mom it is pretty scary. I continue til this day to suffer from fainting spells, fatigue, swelling in my feet, and dizziness. Dr. Puttappa told me that since I tested negative for POTS on the Tilt Table Test that she had no idea what the problem is. She did not seem to want to figure it out either.
