Dr. Russell Blakeley, MD

Dr. Blakeley has been treating me for Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia which had been diagnosed by my doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving here. He has been spot on addressing my concerns especially when I started having new symptoms of unexplained vomiting and passing out. He did refer me to a specialist in IST down in CDA. She agreed with Dr. Blakeley. He worked closely with the BGH Hospitalist, when I was in the ICU for nearly a week 18 months with a broken femur and had hypotensive episods every time I sat up in bed or tried to sit up. I felt I was in good hands the entire time. He concludes every office visit with a type written report of my visit and gives it to me for my records. He's the only doctor who has ever done that for me. I'm crying because he'll be retiring soon.

Your search should end here! Russ is a fine cardiologist with an excellent, compassionate bedside manner. I have been seeing him for a number of years due to a birth defect which he and his team are monitoring on a yearly basis. You can safely trust this doctor and I heart-ily endorse him!

Dr. Blakeley is thorough, friendly and easy to talk to. His office staff are professional and pleasant, the office is clean and modern, and I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to be seen after being brought to the exam room. Although there are computers in all exam rooms, he never uses them; instead he looks directly at you when discussing your health concerns, performs the necessary examination and does his computer documentation later. He's a wonderful doctor!

He then makes sure you understand and agree on the action and/or if you have any questions. I always feel sure and confident on my medical course of action. When I had shared my symptoms with Dr. Blakely, he calmly listened without interruption, checked my recent hospitalization files, and created a plan of action to determine the cause of my symptoms. He asked what I thought of his plan of action, and I told him I thought it was a good plan. I was very pleased with his approach and concern.
