Never Again
The Dr. doesn't listen to his patients and has horrible bed side manners. I will never again use this dr.

Doctor doesn’t listen or show compassion
This doctor did not listen to my history or listen when I tried to explain that I was well educated on orthopedic care and had been experiencing skeletal issues since my teens as well as working in a PT clinic as a manager for 5+ years. He would not listen and only gave me one treatment option. He was rude, told me that eventual hip replacement is not an option for me until I lose weight and that I needed to lose 80+lbs before he could do surgery. He told me to go on a keto diet even though there is extensive history in my family of heart disease, so a keto diet is not recommended for me. He didn’t listen that I have been on every diet plan and have never been able to achieve the goal weight he expected of me. His office never called in the arthritis medication Rx that I was told was being sent to my pharmacy. The office never contacted me with a price estimate for an injection he recommended I get the following week, they never called to schedule it or respond to my 3 voicemails.

Skilled surgeon but not the best for post-surgery visits. Perhaps it has something to do with insurance reimbursement for office visits - which is pretty poor, so why spend the extra time? Not sure overall whether I'd recommend him because I think post-surgery recovery is almost as important as the surgery itself. He has a PA who seems competent enough - but has only some of the answers one might want to ask. Overall, room for improvement

I think Dr. Clark is an excellent orthopedic specialist. He gets tests done prior to the appt & is straight talking & finds & treats the problem. I'm having carpal tunnel surgery on both hands soon & hes treated the bursitis and tendinitis in my right arm due to surgical error of another doctor with injections that have really worked. I don't feel the joint injections at all! Staff is professional & very nice. Didn't experience any waiting for the doctor. Would recommend.

Horrible staff don’t get mad when I call and I want to speak to a nurse about my dads care and all you have is a medical assistant that is not a nurse . She did not go to school to be a nurse so you are not the same as a nurse......no where near close to being a nurse .My experience was with the staff and office manager Lisa who wants to then throw hippa when they don’t even follow it only when the staff wants to . What orthopedic Dr.Office does not have any nurses working for him lol I’m going to get my dad transferred to another Orthopedic Dr.Office who has registered nurses

At my first visit with Dr. Clark about one year ago, he immediately diagnosed the reason for my pain and problems with my right hip. He had ordered x-rays, had access to my other x-rays and MRI's done at St. Mark's, and, because he has the latest equipment, he was able to display and review them with me right there in the exam room. He has always listened intently to me, gives me plenty time in the exam room to tell him the symptoms, and asks near the end if I need to tell him anything else.

Actually Dr. Clark, is my mothers doctor and she is 84 years old. He is very kind and gentle with her. He takes the time to explain everything to her so she understands her medical condition and any procedures he may perform. The nursing staff are also very kind and gentle, she is comforted with her visits and feels they listen to her needs.

Wait time for my recent visit was much longer than usual; no apology was offered. His nurse was very friendly and tried to make the time pass faster. Once the Dr. arrived, he showed me the x-rays, explained the condition of my knee, and listened to my concerns. He recommended a steroid shot directly into the knee which should provide many months of relief. I have had this procedure several times before on my other knee and results have been beneficial. I would definitely recommend Dr. Clark.

I saw Dr. Clark for one visit and that's all it took to walk away I tried to explain my history to him during the visit and he didn't seem to care all he wanted was to do surgery on me right without listening to a word I said his bedside manner was lousy and basically I would not even send my dog to him for anything.

My experience at my appointment was awful! No bedside manner or compassion. His nurse actually apologized for him after he walked out of the room. He was convinced I needed a knee replacement like immediately and of course I was clearly upset. Went to another Orthopedic Surgeon and it has been 6 months and under his treatment my knee is doing excellent and he told me only I would know when I am ready for a replacement and I am not near that point yet!

Poor bedside manner His Attention to overall health/blood work/comfort after surgery is not something he think he should focus on. He is focused on his job in the OR so if any problems occur after surgery his opinion is that it isn't his fault or concern. Poor teamwork w nurses and hospitalist My mom almost died from complications after sugery and he was more eager to tell me how he couldnt help instead of what he could do to help us find answers to get her better and keep her that way.

Dr. Clark takes the time to listen to you during the office visit and ensures that all questions are answered. After my torn rotator cuff surgery he was a bit aggressive with the physical therapy timeline, starting me on the basics five days after surgery, but I believe this timeline has greatly increased my mobility and recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Clark and his staff.
