Lied to Me About Medication Safety
Went in for suspected UTI & told medical assistant my history of severe liver disease. She noted this in my record. Dr Raskin came in looked in my chart & confirmed my diagnosis. I explained the severity of my liver disease & that I needed him to prescribe medication safe for my liver. He made 2 key strokes on computer, over the shoulder of medical asst & told me he checked & medication is safe for me as it’s processed in the kidneys. I thought how could he have checked this on the computer when I was watching him & saw he couldn’t have looked it up. I went to the pharmacy to pick up prescription & looked up what he prescribed. I found significant warnings about the dangers of damage to the liver. I spoke with the pharmacist who said I should never have been prescribed this medication as it’s processed in the liver. So upsetting Dr. Raskin did not check the warnings, lied that he had & said it was safe to take with my liver disease. How can any patient trust him with their health?

Many wonderful experiences
Dr Raskin is extremely professional and a wonderful physician. He has treated myself and my family countless times over the past several years. He listens intently to our concerns and always provides us with knowledge and solutions to our concerns. We love that he doesn’t force medicine down your throat if it’s not clinically needed. We have seen Dr. Raskin for things such as common colds to broken bones and if needed, is always willing to facilitate a phone call to a specialist. We feel really comfortable with his medical knowledge and always know we are getting good advice when we see him.

MISDIAGNOSIS
I took my son in with a horrible soar throat and headache the Dr quickly gave him a strep and covid test. Both came back negative. He let us leave and only call in a prescription for flonase spray. The next day my son was still not feeling well so I took him to his local physician at which time she told us he had bronchitis and a sinus infection.

Dr. Raskin - Professional, Patient and Listens
We have unfortunately had the pleasure to see Dr. Raskin at Merrick City MD on a few different occasions for both myself and my husband over the past year. . .from heart issues to sinus infections to having a rapid covid testing done. He listens to our ailments and stories and has always provided us with solutions to our ailments. The staff who works with him at City MD is also very professional, patient and makes you feel comfortable during what can be stressful times.

Worst experience
The worst doctor experience I ever had. This Dr was rude, condescending and wasn’t interested in anything I had to say. Was more interested in hearing himself speak then showing any compassion or concern for me. I’ll be sure to avoid any location where he might be treating me in the future

Dr. Raskin - CityMD Merrick
I went to CityMD on Merrick Rd in Merrick & was seen promptly by an attentive, personable, and knowledgeable Dr. Raskin. He made a diagnosis & without my asking what the next steps were, said since I was home from work that day he wanted to see me make the most of my day off. He had 2 receptionists simultaneously get me same day appointments with a GI specialist AND an ultrasound. Dr. Raskin got the results of ultrasound and, without asking, called the GI and sent them over to him since he knew I was there for my appt. I asked if he had a surgeon recommendation and he sent an email to the person he’d use for his family. An hour later I got a phone call from that surgeon’s office with a consultation appointment for the next day. CityMD called later that night to check on me and see how I was feeling & answered questions. Great follow up and thorough service by Dr. Raskin! Very impressed with everyone at the location. Wish he were my PCP!

CITY MD visit
I saw this most condescending physician at the Merrick, City MD location. He was arrogant and would not allow me to speak-very rudely talking over me loudly. He misdiagnosed me with costochondritis when in fact I had a partially collapsed lung due to pneumonia. He should go back to school for a refresher.

I cannot begin to explain how pleasant my experience was with Dr. Raskin. From the moment I met him, he has proven himself to be incredibly professional, knowledgeable, intellectual and has an excellent bedside manner. He was able to comfort me, explain my situation to me, diagnose and treat me quickly and effectively. I am blown away by him as a physician. It is refreshing to meet someone as talented as he. I am thankful to know I have a phenomenal emergency physician to turn to when I need to.

Dr Raskin not only gave me symptomatic relief but also spent the time explaining to me about the misuse of antibiotics, when they are necessary: and when to question a Dr who prescribes them like candy. I am very grateful to have had a Dr explain what warrants and antibiotic and what doesn't. Extremely satisfied with the care I received
