WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! AVOID THIS DOCTOR!
This was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. I went in with shoulder pain. Dr. Weisz started moving my arm around. I was hesitant because I knew that in certain directions, those movements would cause pain. He was forceful and impatient and completely unsympathetic. He also suggested that my pain was psychological. This honestly floored me. I've heard of the diagnosis of 'female hysteria,' but that hasn't been used by actual doctors for more than 100 years. Then at the end, I asked what he recommends...medicine, therapy, etc. He shrugged his shoulders and said to get a MRI. I said, 'What are you looking for in the MRI?' He said, 'A diagnosis.' However, he never explained what it could be. He never offered suggestions for easing the pain. I asked if he could at least recommend stretches, so he showed me a few. As he did, he started complaining how tight HIS shoulders were. Overall, he treated me like he couldn't care less about my pain or helping me in any way. AVOID HIM!

Superb surgeon
Underwent surgery for a fractured tibia and I was very fortunate that Dr Weisz was on call. All prep and postoperative visits were conducted in a timely, professional, courteous and efficient manner. I would absolutely, without hesitation, recommend Dr Weisz and his team.

I would definitely stay away from Dr. Weitz. Should have done a complete hip replacement & never told me he didn’t. Found out from other doctors.

Excellent Knowledgeable and Experienced
I broke my elbow and was referred to Dr Weisz by another orthopedist who said my break was too complicated and needed the expertise of Dr Weisz. I have fully recovered with full range of motion . If you want lots of dialogue then this is not the doctor for you but if you want experienced great care, knowledge and expertise then do not hesitate, you can not get a finer doctor.

Unexpectedly terrific
My husband broke his elbow in Africa and we searched for an orthopedic surgeon from afar, obviously avoiding surgery overseas. One physician referred another who felt unequipped to do the surgery but got us an appointment the following morning with Dr. Weisz. We were apprehensive considering the reviews on this website. He was personable, compassionate, and knowledgeable about the condition. Mercifully he scheduled surgery for two days later, repairing his elbow with two plates and screws. Follow up this morning was just as great. We've been very comfortable with his staff including Marilyn, Jackie, Alan and Stephanie. My husband is on the mend with thanks to Dr. Weisz.

Another Arrogant Doctor out there!
Rude, hardly spoke to me. You could tell he could care less. He said what are you taking for pain ( I have a broken knee cap)i told him and he said I don’t use that.I told him that it works for me. I’ve never taken what he wanted to give me. I told him again what works for me and he said well this is what I’ll give you. Thank God he didn’t say surgery, I would never let him operate on me.

Zero Stars if possible! TERRIBLE
Dr. Weisz Came to see Dr. Weisz for knee pain that was so intense that it kept me awake at night. He entered the examining room and was both cold and distant. He scheduled an X-ray of the knee. He read the X-ray and gave me NO indication of what it showed. He asked me if I wanted a cortisone shot; shouldn’t he be telling me whether or not I needed one? Since I got NO relief I went back to see him and his lack of empathy wasn’t any better. The final straw was his comment that you have to expect these things when you get old. I will NEVER return to his office again or recommend him to anyone.

Terrible. Wrong treatment. After wasting 15 weeks with him I was treated properly elsewhere. He never asked about how active I was and decided surgery didn't need to be done. Surgery was required to properly repair. He's demeaning and condescending. Probably feels he needs to make up for his diminutive stature. Stay away.

The front office staff is horrendous at South Palm Ortho. Outside of the awful "customer service experience" Marilyn provides... We've had appointments cancelled by their own front office, and then when we spend money on the transport van for my wheelchair bound mom, we get to the office today for the appointment they reschedule, and guess what - Dr. Weitz isn't even there. Really unprofessional.

Dr. Weisz is the ONLY orthopedic trauma surgeon I'd want again. I had a "high velocity comminuted pelvic fracture with significant acetabulum displacement", but without femoral injury. Only 3 surgeons north of Miami and South of Jupiter are board certified specialists in this surgical repair. The other 2 were unavailable or did not accept my insurance. It is a severe injury which can leave a patient partially disabled. Today I'm back to 100% of normal. He's the best! Thank you, Dr. Weisz
