I’m still in recovery,but so far so good.Dr. Wilson is a consummate professional.I would highly recommend anyone in the Fayette county south metro area contact him for hernia repair.

Had triple hernia repair by Dr. Russell Wilson and was very pleased . The surgery went well and my recovery went faster than I expected. I've had no complications and all the incisions were clean and healed nicely. You can't hardly tell I've been operated on because the scaring is so minimal. Dr. Wilson was very nice and addressed all my questions and concerns. Great job. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson if you need hernia repair.

Dr. Wilson performed Colon Surgery on me 1/23/2020. The Doc was outstanding and his staff kept me updated on everything they were doing. This 70 year old man is expremely happy with everything they did. Up and moving around that afternoon. Was assigned a room on 5 West of the hospital. "The Ladies on 5 West, are the Best". Very Professional and Caring.

I saw this surgeon many years ago for a hernia surgery that almost ruptured. He seemed to do a relatively good job with the surgery but upon visiting me after surgery, he advised me "I was infested with endometriosis" with all this talk in the media about that kind of terminology it brought those feelings of disdain and disgust he made me feel for myself. I wrote him a letter explaining how unprofessional his reference was but never heard back. Just my two cents, I think he needs diversity and/or sensitivity training.

Dr. Wilson performed my colon surgery. He kept me informed of what would take place. He explained things so that I could understand what he was telling me. If I have to have more surgery, I will call on Dr. Wilson.

Dr. Russell Wilson - Awesome Doctor Had gallbladder and hernia surgery 8/28. Had one of the best experiences I have ever had with surgery. Doc is very informative throughout the process and listened to my concerns, added bonus is Piedmont Fayette Hospital pre-op and recovery area, all the nurses are courteous and caring.

Had bilateral hernia repair surgery performed by Dr. Wilson. Everything went very smoothly from the initial office visit thru to post op. I spent a great deal of time asking around for the best general surgeon to perform my hernia surgery and from my experience I found him.

My husband and I met Dr. Wilson for the first time today. We were both favorably impressed that he had actually read my health history forms and was ready to discuss those things with me. He was very kind, friendly, and seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered a CT scan as the first step of diagnosis and that made me happy because that's what I thought would be the best first step. I came into his office feeling nervous and a little fearful and I left feeling relaxed and in good hands.

I was 24 wks pregnant when I had to have my Gallbladder removed! He made sure that I was safe as well as my daughter! I am now 37wks pregnant and waiting on my precious little girl to arrive! Very good doctor love the staff also!

He is a Highly skilled surgeon,takes extremely good care of his patients, simply a fabulous Doctor...We need more like him!
