She is the most brilliant, compassionate dr you will ever meet in your lifetime. When your fight is lessening she gets you right back into the goal of healing giving you all the support a human could want. She is definitely called into her profession and we Mississipians are lucky to have her too!!

I have a very rare condition - Stiff Person Syndrome. Dr. Fredericks has gone out of her way to help me when a flare up occurs. I have been seen by over 20 doctors who did not even know about my condition and would not see. Dr. Fredericks has researched the best treatment for me as she does for other patients.

A gem in the medical field
Dr. Ruth Fredericks is committed to her patients. She has been my Neurologist for 27 years and she has always exemplified professionalism and superior compassion during my appointments and hospital stays. Her knowledge in her field is commendable. As an adult ,62 years of age, relying on doctors for a multidude of heath issues, I have had the good, the bad, and the ugly when speaking of physicians. I stress this to you; Dr. Fredericks is hands down the best. I read the other reviews, many complaining of wait times to see her. This is true often, but how long would you sit at a concert waiting for the artist you wanted to see. How long do you wait for a 3 hour movie to end? Impatience is obnoxious and you aren't giving credit where it's due for a brilliant physician we are all fortunate to serve in our beautiful Mississippi. Thank you, Dr. Fredericks, for choosing us.

She hid my MRI results from me for over a year. I left to see doctors in Wisconsin and got a diagnoses and treatment started within two weeks. This woman is way behind current medical and ethical standards, and you can only expect to be treated well if you are a white republican. Avoid at all costs. Go to a different state, as she is the best Mississippi has to offer.

The few minutes in the room with Dr. Fredericks are good. EVERTYHING else is terrible. Follow up is terrible. Communication is terrible. Scheduling is BEYOND terrible. I think the office staff was probably fired from the DMV for not living up to DMV standards of customer service.

I give Frederick's office staff 6% of 100%. I found out I had a followup appt. quite by accident. At the appt. I've never seen such unprofessional receptionists and nurses. The PA was condescending, doom & gloom & preachy. I left feeling as though I have nothing to look forward to and , in effect, I'm just waiting to die. I practically needed someone to talk me off a ledge!

Would give zero stars if it would let me. She sees too many people. Half does her job. Does not talk to Family. Not thorough. Rushes through appointments. Unable to get timely and appropriate care. Takes a week to hear back from the clinic if you even hear from them at all. Ridiculous.

Extremely poor communication from both physician and her office. My father was referred to Dr Fredricks. Over the course of two clinic visits and four days in the hospital, Dr Fredricks saw my father only two times for a total of thirty minutes. To this day, we have not been given an explanation of the testing that was performed or the results of these tests. The only thing her office made sure we received were the bills.

Nope. Waited months for an appointment. Waited over 2 hours past appointment time for her. Dr. Fredericks rushed thru my appointment in 5 minutes. Was given prescription for anti-depressant which I had already tried before that didn’t help. Was given absolutely nothing for migraine relief. Won’t be going back and do not recommend.

We started out with her a few years ago and it has progressively gotten worse. She started out compassionate but still did not give great detail about the disease we were dealing with. We were shuffled around numerous times. My husband does not deal with change well and they tried multiple time to change him to the NP. He did not want this. It is now to the point that I have called and left messages with no returned call. We had issues with medicine and it took 2 weeks before I got someone to call. We had to go through another doctor. Thankfully we are headed to UAB in a couple months. I have not been able to get anyone to send his medical records either!

I have been treated by Dr. Fredericks for over 25 years and I think she is the best and most caring physician anywhere in the South. Yes, you do have to wait to see her but when you are face to face with her, you know why you were willing to wait. If I could give 10 Stars I would.
