Great Gastroenterologist
She is the only doctor I would go to for my colonoscopy. She and the nurses were great.

Lucky to have seen Dr. McCormack
I had some pretty bad symptoms and was able to see Dr McCormack who asked a lot of questions and figured out what was really going on with me. She did some tests and she sent me to a surgeon who ended up operating on me. She was really thorough and made sure I understood what was going on. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dismissive and no reply...still waiting
Dr. Ross-McCormack was rude and dismissive during our last meeting in 2022. I went to her to get help with stomach pain post COVID, and she wanted to know why I had asked for her and not an NP. She had been my doctor for over 5 years and knew my complicated GI history the best, that's why. Now, I have been waiting for over a week for her to answer a message I sent her in my chart. I have a serious condition and needed her medical advice. No reply and even when I called to speak with a nurse, still no reply from anyone at BILHMC.I was willing to stay with this doctor despite her 'bedside manner' but these two situations have made me lose total confidence in her. I need someone new and patient-centered.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Ross-McCormack. I wasn't really nervous, but there is always some anxiety in a hospital setting. Dr. Ross-McCormack must have gotten A+ in her bedside manner class. I couldn't have been more at ease. My other observation was how she treated the nursing staff. She certainly has no airs about her. Everyone was treated equally and professionally. She even helped wheel the gurney into the operating room!!! She's a class act, knows her stuff, and understands that kindness matters!

Traumatic experience. I had several extremely embarrassing symptoms that I had never been able to talk about and were ruining my life. I told her was how difficult it was for me to talk about & that I needed to explain for a few uninterrupted minutes in order to"get it out". But she quickly interrupted, and yelled at me repeatedly for saying that a previous dr's suggestions only worsened the symptoms. Her anger was so extreme I was paralyzed and couldn't even tell her the worst of my symptoms

Terrible bedside manner. When she was repeating back info I had told her, she had some incorrect info so I tried to interject and she replied "I'm SPEAKING!" I asked about long term side effects of a med and she agreed that there were some concerns about it but when I called to inquire further, both she and her assistant referred to my concerns as "my issues about the medicine" spoken with an implied eye roll as if I was crazy for my concerns. 2 stars bc she was very thorough w/testing.
