Great clinic, great providers
Been a patient at center for pain for several years. Been seening Dr Almeida for a few years now. Very caring Doctor. They are definitely not a pill mill like some of the other places I been. But they try to make sure their patients do well and continue to keep on.

HORRIBLE
12/22-5/23 Referred to Dr Almeida 1st for cervical pain from radiation/ovarian cancer then low back problems. He immediately went straight in & began injections. I received a cervical block a few years prior by another physician that worked great, this time not so much. I was in severe pain afterwards for about 5 days. He immediately began pushing the needle in my lower back, left hip without ANY imaging, he had NO CLUE what he was even treating. When I would go in for my next injection, while laying on the table he would ask me how I was feeling, if my symptoms were improving. Before I could even answer him he would push the meds to put me to sleep to perform the next block. I went for my follow up after my 4th lumbar injection & was much much worse than the day I began treatment with him. END RESULTS: 4 injections with NO imaging, 5 injections total, significant back surgery 9/2023, I have permanent nerve damage, left leg permanently damaged all due to his negligence!!!

Not a caring doctor !
I don’t know how he treats everyone else, but let me tell you how I was treated. I went to him for help. I’ve had a C4/C5 cervicle fusion, L5/S1 lower back surgery, (3) grade 4 A/C dislocation surgeries, lower bowel blockage surgery, an esophagectomy, both knees, and both feet operated on. I went with my CT’s, MRI’s, and all my doctors information. He walked in, didn’t exam me, didn’t ask me any questions, didn’t look at anything I brought. He said he wanted me to go to a methadone clinic every day. When I tried to tell him I couldn’t, he didn’t want to hear anything I had to say ! I have never been treated like this. He is a pompous, self absorbed, … I hope he treats others better. I know people go to these doctors trying to get meds, but I’m just looking for some relief. I’m a 60 year old man, not a kid looking to get high. If anyone ever asks me about him, I will absolutely let them know how I was treated. If I could give him a 0 review I would ! Worst doctor I e ever seen !!!!!

This doctor used to be in Ohio and he was all about injections despite them not helping. Then he mysteriously up and moved his practice to Alabama. He is a completely worthless doctor!

Third world office environment. The nurse's are nice enough but the doctor is back in his office sipping coffee and signing prescriptions. They clearly just want to rubber stamp you through. The guy's a surgeon, so if he can bill your insurance for surgery he's happy to make that money, but otherwise he has no use for you, and God help you if you need something more than their practice standards. (Not DEA standards, because those are a myth. Just the practice covering themselves. Not what you need. What they need.) Uncaring, thoughtless, cruel. I got better care at the VA, in the 70's.

Because I won't let him give me any more of his injections that are painful and do not work one of his nurses said I can't have my pain medication anymore. This guy is a quack looking for the money he gets from giving these useless shots. Be careful of any medications that they give you that you haven't taken before because when I asked the nurse what it was and the side effects she told me to read about it from the information pack with the medication. When I looked it up the side effects were horrendous and the reviews were overall saying it useless. Maybe the nurse should have looked it up.

Dr Almedia did, surgery on my husband. The,surgery worked for a while. My husband went back because he started having problems. The doctor looked at him and said "you need to find another doctor. I am not doing that type surgery anymore". I was shocked!! He did not even try to recommend anyone. He was very cold and uncaring.

Dr. Almeida is a great doctor and makes sure you understand the treatment plan. He is easy to talk with and he cares about each individual. I went to him not being able to walk 50 feet, and under his skilled care I now can walk at least 1/3 of a mile without pain. He used the latest methods to improve your well being. I wish all my doctors cared as much as Dr. Almeida.
