Dr. Ryan is wonderful! He listens, explains, and only elaborates when it is good for the patient.I think he is an amazing, skilled, and compassionate doctor. I am a nervous patient and he handled me with empathy and skill. He performed my vitrectomy, answered all my questions, and made me feel like I was in good hands. I have had the same type of appointment with other retina specialists. The appointment start to finish was about 45 minutes. Fifteen of which was spent with the doctor. Here I was cattle herded with many patients through the initial screenings and dilation process only to sit again in the waiting room for 45 minutes to see the doctor for two. Total time close to two hours. He barely looked at my eyes and was ready to move on to the next. I was told they would help me request prior records as the condition is something to evaluate year over year and they not only didn’t but never even asked if this had been evaluated before even though the pre screen phone call said they would. This office came highly recommended from my optometrist. I let that office know about this experience as well. I would not have left this review but I received a text requesting one.

I see Dr. Young for my retina issues , so received injections in both eyes. I have noticed a decline in my vision. When I asked, I was told “ we are doing it”. The appoint was over.

My visit was a yearly follow up to surgery he preformed. He is really great! Sees me once a year and remembers so much about me! His bedside manner is wonderful and he never seems to be in a rush to get me out of the office to move on to his next patient. The surgery he did 2 or 3 years ago was excellent.

Dr. Young is careful and Courteous which is comforting when he is sticking needles in your eyes.

I saw Dr. Young after experiencing a sub-retinal hemorrhage. His evaluation, tests requested and explanation of my condition and recommendations were very easy to understand.

Grateful to Dr. Ryan Young for allaying my apprehension re: dosage of “ numbing agent” used in eye injection for Macular degeneration. (Low dose of Lidocaine) which allowed me to drive safely back to La Grange, Texas(only 30 minutes distance). I was so relieved and had no after effects . Dr. Young also is blessed w/ a team of competent , empathetic knowledgeable professionals who all were quite charismatic.

I have been a patient for several years. I had retina service problems after cataract surgery. Doctor Young has followed the healing process and explained what was happening. Throughout the process I was grateful for knowing what was happening. He and his staff were great. Talking to others while waiting I found that other patients were as pleased as I am.
