Dr. Hartman is outstanding!
I’ve seen Dr. Hartman quite a few times in the last months, as he reconstructed my ACL that I tore while skiing in March. I’m happy to say that the procedure went well and I’m on my way to getting back to activities I love. Dr. Hartman is very personable, an excellent listener, knowledgeable, and obviously a skilled surgeon. I certainly hope I never need orthopedic surgery again, but if I do, I will absolutely ask for Dr. Hartman.

One of the best Doctors that I have ever had!
I had a serious injury that required surgery. Dr. Hartman explained the process and recovery with compassion and in a professional manner. I had no surprises. My surgery went well with no complications. He was always on time with the follow up appointments. I would highly recommend Dr. Hartman!

Gave us the thorough info we’d been searching for!
Dr Hartman thoroughly dug into our situation and discussed options/potential outcomes and was relatable to listen to. Unlike other doctors we’d seen he conducted thorough strength testing and isolation of the troubled area. We appreciated not feeling rushed out the door or as though we were honored to have got an appt at all. Wonderful visit and great patient care.

General Knee Concern
I had been experiencing swelling and pain after light exercise and golf. Dr. Hartman suggested a cortisone shot only since swelling had subsided. I’ve had several visits with Dr. Hartman, to include meniscus repair and would highly recommend his services. He’s always been caring, listened well and provided helpful feedback. He has an acute ability to remember things about me personally, which I find are rare in the medical field today, and it’s comforting. I will continue to utilize Dr. Hartman as I have the utmost trust in him!

I always recommend peoplt to Dr Hartman!
Dr Hartman is great at trying to fix my shoulder issues in the least intrusive way possible but when needed he is a great surgeon that is very good at telling me how the process is going to go and he has always delivered excellence in doing a great job on the surgery, explaining how everything went after the surgery and getting me back to normal as soon as possible! I have 2 shoulder surgeries that went great. ( I ride dirt bikes)

I would give zero stars if I could
Dr. Ryan Hartman is one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered. He is arrogant and dismissive, and as a result, dangerous. On my very first visit, Dr. Hartman stood across the exam room, and before ever touching me, stated, "I can tell from looking at you, that you don't have a DVT (blood clot)." I have a history of DVT, and threw clots to my lung (PE), which could have resulted in my death. Between 200,000 & 300,000 people die of PE every year in the US. THE WAY BLOOD CLOTS ARE DIAGNOSED IS WITH ULTRASOUND. Unless Dr. Hartman has ultrasound vision, he cannot diagnose a DVT with examination (especially from across the room). This arrogance is dangerous for an orthopedic surgeon to have, as risk for DVT/PE increases after orthopedic surgery. Dr. Hartman then proceeded to argue with me about my lifelong genetic diagnosis, was dismissive, and talked down to me. I would not recommend this doctor.

Highly skilled and knowledgeable
Dr. Hartman saw me for a torn biceps and damaged rotator cuff. Due to the biceps injury the surgery needed to be done quickly. He was able to get me in within the time frame. He is very concerned with patient after care. I had some struggles and Dr. Hartman addressed these and corrected my problem. I would highly recommend him and would go back if I needed future work done.

Surgery Outstanding, other Care Horrible
Explained necessary procedure well. Scheduling and pre-op and anesthesia team prep thorough, efficient. Surg/recov better than hoped for! BUT no contact w Dr after consult until D/C (except hello). For 5 days prior + 2days post-surg not only I, but also my Ins company; twoHome Health CO’s;, a case mgr; social worker; And health advocate all FAILED, after dozens polite calls, messages and emails to office, to receive ANY cooperation providing the required records/auth’s, required to plan/initiate after care. (Tho promised) As 70+disabled 24/7 CareGiver to my severely brain-injured adult child, I alone am ultimately responsible for care for us both. Lacking other supports, his casemgr &I began arranging residential respite care for him to give me the space needed to heal. Unfortunately 2wks later all placement resources had dried up totally. He had to remain in home, & we both required aftercare! Nightmare service ensued & on-going. DC Inadequate! Totally unnecessary, stressful.

Awesome Orthopedic Professional
Dr.Hartman is one of the finest orthopedic surgeons I’ve known. And unfortunately, I have had the opportunity to know/engage quite a few. His approach is interactive, caring and focused on helping the patient understand ALL alternatives…not just surgical interventions. Ryan rocks!

I wanted to leave feedback about my recent visit to see Dr. Ryan Hartman but I tried clicking on the survey but it said I’d already filled it out, which I did not. I absolutely liked this surgeon. I’ll be having shoulder surgery done by him and I feel that he’ll do an awesome job! During our first meeting he was friendly, spent time with me, seemed to care that I’m in excruciating pain, and he set up surgery for me. A five star rating for sure!

I have not seen Dr. Ryan Hartman as a patient, however my grandson has seen him accompanied by his parents and myself and he is very arrogant and lacks any kind of bedside manner. The lack of explaining treatment from start to finish or stating treatment one way and then jumping around is concerning to say the least. Blaming the parents and or even the less than 6 month old baby for results of treatment you recommended is pathetic and stating don't go to the ER if your concerned when the afterhours facility showed no concern or wouldn't even contact the Dr. I realize he must be a very busy doctor, however your treatment or lack of will affect my grandson, their son for a lifetime. A second opinion is being scheduled asap.
