Stop reading and get the hip!
7 years ago was told hip replacement was in my future and being an athlete, I doubled down on workouts, shoe inserts, Therapy and eventually cortisone and hyaluronic acid. At 49, the first shot of cortisone made me feel 30 again and the second did nothing. I had hip replaced by Dr. H on June 2nd and as I write this on June 15th I am sitting with only a minor itch from the scar using over the counter meds for the last 13 days. My range of motion is already better than before! It was my left hip so was driving very soon after and back at gym! He directed me to the Dual Mobility hip and performed anterior procedure which has me recovering faster. The hardest thing is not to overdo it as I feel so gosh Brand New! The excel nurses were fabulous as well as the whole TCO team. Walker for 3 days! Cane for 3 days and when I am tired and to keep me walking straight! My whole workout class almost fainted after seeing me back for light upper body workout within a week after surgery!

When you end up in the ER with a hip fracture, your greatest hope is for a skilled and compassionate surgeon. Dr Horazdovsky was that and more. With Covid restrictions in place, I met him the morning of surgery. He answered my questions with the reassurance that he would give me the best outcome possible. And that is what I got. It has been two months and I am walking almost normally. He and his staff are professional and kind. My best advice is to do everything you’re told and to keep moving! Also, take advantage of their bone health program. Although my experience has been excellent, I’d rather not repeat it!

My overall experience with Dr. Horazdovsky has been fantastic. I went over a year with sharp shooting pains up and down my leg and into my hip. I walked with a limp and very hard getting up from sitting position. After having revision surgery I am 100 % better. So happy I went through with the surgery!

I had my first appointment with Doctor Horazdovsky on January 25 and was extremely impressed to say the least. He explained everything in detail as to what was happening with my knee and what my options were. We decided on partial knee replacement and I am so relieved that I will get my mobility back in the near future. Doctor H. Has outstanding credentials and reviews and I thank God that an acquaintance referred me to him. Surgery is scheduled on February 22 and I’m so looking forward to finally getting some relief after four years of not knowing. His team was also outstanding in explaining things to me and getting everything scheduled and finalized ! Dean

Dr. Horazdovsky and all of the TCO team are fantastic and caring. I had a robotic total knee replacement and was pretty nervous but they explained everything in detail on the process and recovery and that’s exactly how it went. I was walking immediately and doing PT within 2 days. I’m 6 weeks out and have no pain, ride my bike and walk long distance. This surgery improved my life 100%. Thank you to everyone at TCO.

Definitely! I had a partial knee replacement on September 23 at the Minnesota Valley Surgery Center in Burnsville. The entire day surgery experience went very well with excellent care. I had very little pain, somewhere between 2 or 2.5%, and no where near what I had been having prior to surgery. Follow up care by home health was good and the physical therapy by Twin Cities Orthopedics also went very well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Horazdovsky and Twin Cities Orthopedics to anyone!

I’ve had both hips replaced. The first was completed two years ago and the other was done one year ago. The surgeries went very well and I can now do things I didn’t think I’d ever be able to do again. I am taking a dance fitness class called Oula and Zumba classes. I am able to exercise full out. I’m doing jumping jacks, hip movements and jumps. I’m even relearning how to skip. I’m sure glad I had this done!

Dr. H did a full knee replacement of my left knee on 8/26/20. I strongly recommend him for this type of surgery. I am a senior and had put off having this surgery because I didn't want to have to repeat it later in life. Dr. H told me that he thought that this was possible. I had had broken knee cartilage removed in a previous surgery on this same leg about fifteen (15) years earlier and had been told that I had a lot osteoarthritis in my knee which was bone on bone prior to the surgery. I am well on my way to a full recovery and have little pain left in my knee which should go away in a year when I go in for my next checkup. I was given appropriate medications that aided in my recovery. Make no mistake a knee replacement is major surgery and should not be taken lightly. A patient should have full confidence in the abilities in his surgeon which I did with Dr. H.

I had a great experience with hip replacement with DR Horazdovsky. I am back golfing, biking, swimming etc. We discussed the x-rays in detail before and after including a 12 month follow up. His office is very easy to work with as well. Highly recommend.
