Major bleeding after tonsillectomy
Dr Mitchell performed a tonsillectomy on my son. After a week from surgery my son had a major bleeding from one of the scars that put his life at risks. He needed a second surgery that was performed by another doctor. Dr Mitchell never called us back to give us any sort of explanation or asking how our son was doing. It took almost a year to my son to get back to normal. I would stay away.

Amazing provider
He is a very sweet, knowledgeable doctor. He is factual, takes his time with patients, eases nerves for his kiddos and will go above and beyond for excellent patient care. I would recommend him to everyone we could! We have had surgeries, procedures, and testing with him and we won’t be going anywhere else. We moved states and travel back to Denver specifically for him!

Dr Mitchell is the ENT doctor for you!
If I could give 5000 stars, I would! Dr Mitchell goes out of his way to make you and your child feel comfortable and that he can help. He's aware of the latest procedures and interventions, surgical, office-based and medication options and he reviews all of them with you so you feel reassured with the plan. His bedside manner is amazing--especially with children: he's friendly, compassionate and confident. You have nothing to worry about in Dr Mitchell's hands!

Excellent bedside and educational experience
My child has seen Dr. Mitchell twice now for general ENT issues. Our first appointment with Dr. Mitchell was amazing. He was very patient with our child and did a great job reassuring our daughter and ourselves that the ear wax removal would go smoothly. Dr. Mitchell thoroughly answering my wife's questions regarding our child's allergies, nose bleeds and ear issues. He is a great doc and I recommend him to all.

World Class Physician
Dr. Mitchell is a fantastic physician, who truly cares about his patents and treats them like they are his own kids. We have been seeing Dr. Mitchell for four years now and we couldn't have asked for a more talented and compassionate physician.

Surgical error forever affecting child's life
My son was sent to Dr. Mitchell (while at Riley in Indianapolis) after a sleep study showed sleep apnea. A T&A was scheduled. In procedure, Dr. Mitchell asked if we would give additional consent to remove the lingual tonsils and something "suspicious." After the surgery, our son had a pretty difficult 6 weeks of recovery. We were told repeatedly from his office that our son's recovery was appropriate. We had been following the feeding team at Cincinnati and they were puzzled how our son's swallowing could have gotten worse. We discovered that Dr. Mitchell had removed half of our son's epiglottis (which blocks food from entering the lung)! Our new ENT has helped us manage expectations while trying to clean up Dr. Mitchell's work. Ultimately, the treatment is years of feeding therapy, hoping/praying that our son can learn to swallow without half of his epiglottis. He may very well require a modified diet (on top of a G-tube) the rest of his life.

Dr. Mitchell is awesome
I have used a few pediatric ENT doctor’s over the years for my kids ear and neck issues and Dr. Mitchell is by far is the best. He not only is very thorough, but he also follows up to make sure that my child is healing well. This means everything to us, a great bedside manner and unsurpassed surgical skill makes him not only the best but also a must for pediatric ENT. Thank you for your excellent care we will use you and your staff from now on.

Exceptional Visit
I took my son to see Dr. Mitchell to rule out anything (such as obstructive sleep apnea) that might be impacting sleep quality. Our visit far exceeded my expectations. He was very thorough, explained everything in a way we could understand, did not rush, and was extremely patient with my son, who can sometimes struggle with sensory processing disorder. While no ENT issues were discovered, Dr. Mitchell still continued to invest his time in helping us solve our sleep issues. I could have never imagined this level of care. Truly exceptional. I’m not sure how he manages to treat every family as if they are his only patients, but this is exactly how we feel. I can honestly say I’ve never worked with a medical professional quite so genuine and down to earth. We will certainly be recommending this office, and especially Dr. Mitchell.

I have seen a few different ENT doctors for my 3 kids and I will tell you that Dr. Mitchell is by far the best one we have seen. Not only does he provide amazing care, he has helped us with many problems that have occurred with our son at all hours of the day (and even at night). Not every doctor you meet (especially a specialist) would text you about your son outside of office hours or be okay with it when you text him. Our son loves Dr. Mitchell and we are forever grateful for everything he has done to help our boy have the best chance at hearing with BOTH ears. We recommend him to anyone we know needing an ENT.

Dr. Mitchell was phenomenal in caring for me during my deviated septum surgery. As a nurse working in the pediatric ICU, I see Dr. Mitchell's complex and extensive cases and his patient's are well cared for from the moment they enter our ICU to the moment they leave. When I needed to have ENT surgery myself, I didn't want to see anyone other than Dr. Mitchell. He was able to see me quickly, schedule my surgery with ease, and make sure I was feeling okay after the procedure. I would recommend him to anyone in the Denver area who is needed ENT care, either adult or pediatric. Thank you Dr. Mitchell for everything!
