Traumatizing and Gaslighting
ER visit and said my lungs are clear my sinuses are the problem. I told him I’d had mono with my sinuses but my gp was concerned with drug resistant infections and a reactivated case of mono. He brushed me off and told me spot tests are unreliable & ordered a ct of my sinuses. I did as I was asked. He showed me the ct and there was a bit of sinus blockage, but I’ve had sinus surgery so it looked relatively fine for me. He did a blood draw to send to diagnostics because the spot test was likely wrong. The results actually showed I had past mono exposure bd acute active mono. I came in for my follow up appointment & he wanted to look at my sinuses since I’d finished my antibiotics. I asked why he didn’t mention that my chart from ER said bronchitis. He got defensive and raised his voice. I asked if he realized he was yelling at me to which he respond, “you started it.” I hadn’t raised my voice at all. He ordered a tech to hand me my labs and refused to go over them with me.

Wonderful, wonderful doctor! I recently had a severe food reaction so I went to see Dr. Bakhaya. It was such a pleasant experience. I didn’t wait at all in the office to see him and his staff is wonderful too! Highly recommend him if you have allergies or would like to get tested.

Dr. Bakhaya has been my saving grace. I thought my first appointment would be the usual "getting to know you" type, but a blood-draw, CT scan, and order for allergy testing later I felt so validated. He doesn't mess around with insurance companies and will fight for what he feels his patients need. He has helped monitor my allergies, diagnosed me with asthma, and is now helping me transition to caring for my newly diagnosed issue outside of his expertise. His staff is caring and efficient, and I'm always able to call and leave a message or email.

Everyone in the office is super personable. Almost like family! Dr. Bakhaya listens to everything you have to say and gives feed back and knowledgable answers back. If you don't understand something he will take the time to explain it. He goes above and beyond what he needs to do!!!
